Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douglas County

Nice comfortable place along the north Umpqua river. Quiet setting. We went for walks along the road and also took the kayaks out on the river. There is a dam downstream so there is little current in the river at this point and it’s like paddling around on a lake. Very peaceful and tranquil. Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the cabin in the woods was so peaceful and relaxing. Everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed the outdoor space. The fire pit was perfect. We spend all our evenings sitting beside it enjoying the quiet. A little deer visiting morning and evening was a bonus. We would recommend the cabin. Chloe and Jason were extremely helpful hosts.

Gary’s house was a perfect place to stay for our trip. It was spacious and very clean. Had everything we needed and more. He was very communicative and helpful.

This was our second stay in this house. We were in town for family and when they visited there was no problem keeping the kids occupied. This was the perfect spot for R&R.

Great place to stay when on the coast. The place was clean and comfortable. We checked in late and someone was renting the other side - we only heard when they were opening/closing main door. Good neighborhood.

We had a really nice stay. The Airbnb is centrally located in downtown Oakridge. It's well equipped for mountain biking with a bike wash, bike tools etc. Great backyard for after ride chilling. We will be back next year!

I recently stayed at Whitney’s Coastal Cottage and was very happy with the accommodations. It was peaceful and the view was beautiful. It was nice waking up and seeing the horses and deer in the fields. Whitney was quick to respond to the questions I had which made the experience even better. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We loved our stay! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and just a short one-hour drive from Crater Lake. My kids had a great time, and the river behind the house was absolutely breathtaking. We’d definitely come back!

We were very pleased with April's Airbnb! We only stayed a few days but felt very comfortable and whenever we had a question, she responded quickly. Roseburg and Oregon in general is very beautiful and we had a wonderful view from the deck area!

Nice, fully functional apartment unit. It's large in space . Bed is comfy. Would stay again. A lot of light that shines thru the windows in the front and back, and that is welcoming and makes for a great homey feeling. There are good blinds on all windows to block out the light for sleep. There is a breakfast nook area near the kitchen with a couple of chairs that look out the windows for a cute view of the town. It's an old building, which means there are creaks and you can hear other units. Personally for me, it's not loud enough to be an issue at all. I just mention this because if you are the kind of person who needs 100% quietness, you might have issues. Bring ear plugs. Google Maps provides good directions right to the front of the house. What would have been much appreciated in the check in instructions were more details on finding the parking in the rear of the house, and the accompanying directions on how to find the back door of the unit.

A lovely place especially if you have pets. Walking along the creek and taking in the natural beauty and animals before turning in for a peaceful comfortable night was pristine!

I did not stay at the Jesse Fisher 1890 house. When we arrived and knew we were not satisfied, I contacted Bernie. He responded immediately, and offered me a different location. He had a room available in a beautiful home at the top of a hill right above Roseburg. Bernie picked us up within 10 minutes and took us up to see the house at the top of the hill. Once I checked the internet speed, I accepted this alternative. I'm very glad I did. I was there nearly 2 weeks. The room was clean, nice, very quiet, and connected to a large shared bathroom. There were many guest rooms in this home. however, I don't know how many people I shared the bathroom with because everyone kept it so clean, you really couldn't tell. I had a little refrigerator in my room which made life really easy. The shared kitchen is gorgeous. Nice laundry room too. The house at the top of the hill is less than 5 minutes from town and very convenient.

The place got a great amount of sun in the sun rooms and were perfect for soaking up the rays. The bathroom is very nice and looked recently remodeled. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. Kitchen had all the things needed to cook and prepare a meal. Amy was very kind when messaging and helped us whenever we had questions! Would recommend for the price of course and a good location centrally located in Coos Bay

Bernie and Venus were great hosts. They were welcoming and very responsive. The apartment was cozy and exactly what I was looking for. It was well equipped and has lots of natural sunlight. The apartment is walking distance to downtown and close to several good restaurants. The building is very close to an active railway line and can be noisy with the trains coming through. I personally found it charming, but may be disruptive to sleep.

What a lovely place to “perch!” The view was gorgeous. The place was comfortable and totally clean. Would for sure stay again.

A gem of an AirBnB. Absolutely beautiful cabin. Warm, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful yard front and back. Great communication. I could go on and on and on. Already planning another trip in the area and hope to come back to exactly this cabin. Both thumbs up.

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and felt like a perfect getaway spot. It was fully stocked with everything we needed-especially in the kitchen-so we only had to bring groceries and personal items. The view was absolutely stunning! The water was too cold to swim during our stay, and access to the swimming hole or fishing spots really required a kayak, so keep that in mind. It’s about 30-40 minutes from Roseburg, which made it feel remote but still accessible. Overall, a great experience!

My husband and I enjoyed our getaway to the Tired Dog Ranch and our stay at the Carriage "Hen" House. It was a lovely area, quiet and peaceful. The little place was rustic but had everything we needed. Its was nice to walk around the grounds and visit with the horses. We werent lucky enough to meet any of the other animals and the chickens were no longer around. The place was comfortable, nice big bed, and plenty of heating/cooling, and while rustic it was clean. The only issue we had was the showerhead was very short and my husband being 6'3" had a difficult time in the space. Also since there isnt a bathroom sink (this is clearly explained in the description so it wasnt a surprise) it was a bit uncomfortable to wash up in the evening as there arent curtains over the windows and there were a couple folks walking around. Other than those two things, which werent a huge deal to deal with, it was a wonderful time. The area is beautiful and we look forward to visiting again someday :)

What a great find! I’m disappointed that we arrived so late (our fault!) that we weren’t able to really hunker down for the camping experience. I hope we’re able to return one day because this is right up our alley. This was the perfect “unplug” night for us and especially our kiddo. Deanna was helpful and accommodating, and she had stocked the cabin with several items we totally forgot.

The cabin and its front porch are really nice and equipped with everything which we needed. In the nearer surrounding, there are several waterfalls and even hot springs to be discovered.

The picture and description don’t do this place justice. Being in the home, you feel a sense of peace and warmth. It’s cozy throughout, with that feeling present in every corner. The aesthetic they aimed for was not only achieved but surpassed. While spending time in the home, it felt like every minute detail had been carefully considered. I couldn’t recommend this place enough—I just wish I had booked a longer stay.

Dee & Tom’s family cabin was the Most wonderful place to stay. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you. You feel right at home, beautiful area, a lot of history of the falls and their family cabin is shared throughout the cabin. We have been kicking ourselves in the pants for not planning a longer visit.
