Castle Hill Studio has everything you need after a day exploring the nearby Ski fields, Craigieburn trails, Cave Stream, and Kura Tawhiti Rocks from your doorstep. Spacious, with a full kitchen and laundry, the ground floor Studio has its own private entry. Secure bike or ski storage are availible by arrangement. New Black Diamond Mondo bouldering mats are available for our Bouldering guests to hire. While the studio is spacious, it is best suited to 2 singles or 1 couple with young children.

Picturesque one bedroom self contained cottage

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

Arrive at the wonderful space we have created for a peaceful relaxing stay. Sit on the deck or in the spa and enjoy a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine listening to the bird song. The spaces include a well-appointed kitchen, warm and inviting living area. Separate bedroom with a comfy queen bed. A sofa bed is available for a third guest or sleeping separate. Breakfast includes milk, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee and some lovely farm fresh eggs. Check in via a lock box, flexible.

Complimentary Chip and Putt golf course also available. Free range eggs from the chickens next door are for sale. The perfect place to take a break as no wifi is available.

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering continental breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers !!!

Local walks including Hot Pools and 2 of NZs oldest Rimu trees. The local café closes around 3pm so if you are passing through Hokitika or Franz Josef you may want to get food from the supermarket. We are unable to offer early check-ins or late check-outs
