'Amidst the tapestry of history, experience the heartbeat of Durres.' My name is Shanshan. I'm a musician from the Ami tribe, and I'm also the host of this property. This used to be the staff quarters at the Dulang Sugar Mill during its heyday.This historic building has witnessed the rise and fall of the sugar industry in eastern Taiwan. Since 2009, thanks to the Artist-in-Residence programme initiated by Shanshan, countless international artists and musicians from around the world have stayed, lived and created their works here. We deliberately preserved the distinctive architectural features of the old dormitory and infused it with a minimalist, pure-white aesthetic, transforming its original weighty historical character into a light and airy space.This is not just a room to stay overnight; it's also the starting point for you and your friends to experience the heartbeat of the land in Dulan.
