Moose cabin is handcrafted, build to create a rustic experience. Equipped with a collection of vintage cast iron skillets and a canoe which was built and used in Algonquin Park, Ontario in 1970. The private deck is perfect to entertain after a day hike at the park. Moose cabin, newly built, is located 12 minutes from the Denali National Park Entrance. The cabin neighbors the 49th State Brewery and Three Bears Grocery, easily within walking distance. You will be secluded and surrounded by trees, wildlife and away from the crowded area during your stay here. The Moose cabin also has a fire pit to relax and rejuvenate. It has 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, and sleep sofa in the living room (sleep 6 adults), blackout curtains, 1 private bathroom, living room with a recliner, a sound system to play your favorite music, dining table with 4 chairs, a fully stocked kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a dishwasher. This 16 foot yurt is perfect for those visiting Denali Park, want a full view of Denali, and have a 360 degree view of nothing but mountains, river, and forest! The yurt is only 29 miles from the entrance to the park and is equipped with power, propane cook stove, lights, toyo stove heating for temperature control, wood stove, and wood for purchase ($10 a bundle). Being elevated, you can walk out the door to great views and if clear weather, a full view of the tallest mountain in North America!

Nana's Cabin

Nana's Cabin is located on a private pond 4 miles from downtown. This charming log home was built by local builders for their mother. Guests can drive right to the front door. There is a full well equipped kitchen. Bathroom has tub w/shower, washer & dryer. One queen bed downstairs & a queen, a twin and 2 pull out beds upstairs. Note: The Denali National Park entrance is a 3 hour drive from Talkeetna! There is a 1/2 mile walking trail on the property and access to local bike and ski trails.

Our cabin is brand new and offers all the amenities without the bustle of the busy hotels. Here at Husky Homestead our neighbors are Denali Air. Noise can be expected during the day, and on occasion our dogs will alert us to wildlife in the area.

Even if Denali is hidden in the clouds, you overlook the valley. You can drink morning coffee looking out at Denali. There are not many places that have a view like this. Why stay with the crowds when you can have privacy. Lots of hiking trails right from the house are available. Moose often walk through this area.
