Holiday houses in Dan River

The cabin was such a great place to spend our Anniversary. Enjoyed morning coffee on the upperdeck each day & evening time enjoying burgers on the grill on the large covered porch with great views and so peaceful. Cabin was spot on to the listing. Five minutes from downtown West Jefferson with so many stores to shop. From the cheese factory to The Honey Hole. We enjoyed the daily visit from a squirrel that kept coming back for the birdseed on the porch. There were also lots of Deer & a family of turkeys. One downfall, the Rokie TV was a bit confusing to use. This cabin was well worth the 8 hour trip!! So sad we had to leave that awesome view. Thanks Jerrita for allowing us to rent cabin time.

Can’t say enough about Zack’s home. It was the perfect spot for a quiet, peaceful but also incredibly fun getaway! The house was just as pictured (if not better). It was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The deck was perfect for relaxing the sun as well as a tasty dinner on the grill. The bonus bar room provided many competitive & fun rounds of darts while keeping up with sports games on tv. The dock was the perfect relaxation spot. Our boys also used it to fish from and also jumped in a few times. We took advantage of both the kayaks and the boat rental. SOO fun!! Zack’s dad, Jeff, explained everything needed to use the boat. He was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the best time, felt right at home and created a ton of fun family memories here. Definitely hope to visit again!

We would definitely stay here again. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. On a clear day we had a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley below. Quaint shopping in Fancy Gap. Check out the wings and a beverage at Creek Bottom Brewing in Galax. Short trip to Mt Airy NC. We left feeling refreshed.

This is by far the best Airbnb host I’ve ever encountered! They were incredibly warm and welcoming. The guidebook they provided was detailed, thoughtful, and extremely helpful — from local restaurants and activities to sightseeing recommendations, everything was spot-on. Communication was always prompt and responsive. Overall, an outstanding experience — I highly recommend staying here and we will come back!

The home was very easy to find in a nice family friendly neighborhood. It is a well maintained house and very clean. Ashley and Ryan responded in minutes to our few questions. The town is surrounded by American Revolution and Civil War historic locations. There are a few places to eat and shop in Buena Vista, but just 10 minutes from Lexington where you can find practically anything. The place is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Natural Bridge State Park, and many other attractions to visit.

This was a great stay and is now on the radar for a summer family vacation spot. We liked the peacefulness and the water being right out back. It was nice that there were items left behind including some of the basics condiments in the fridge along with cooking spices, etc. We left some coffee behind because that was the only thing missing when we woke up after a late check in. We really enjoyed the home and amenities. My wife did not want to leave and felt that we were at her forever home.
