Channa and Usha were fantastic hosts! Usha’s meals were incredibly delicious and Channa went above and beyond with getting us to the accomodation and bringing meals over. I would say set basic expectations and you will be impressed!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Linwewa Villa in Sigiriya, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff's warmth and friendliness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The villa's serene atmosphere, nestled amidst nature with stunning lake views, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. I highly recommend Linwewa Villa to anyone seeking a harmonious blend of genuine hospitality, delectable food, and tranquil surroundings.

What an amazing time we had here! It was very well taken care of, with a lot of love. A very nice place, in a nice village. Staff were great sweet to our kids, really nice.

Our stay at this charming hotel was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the owner, Mrs. Sue. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Her warmth and genuine care made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel. Mrs. Sue took the time to show us how to prepare the most delicious curries, adding a personal touch to our experience. When I injured my ankle, she immediately arranged a visit to the village doctor, ensuring I was well taken care of. Her thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—she even drove us to the airport at midnight, making our departure seamless and stress-free. Every detail of our stay was perfect, and we left feeling rejuvenated and deeply grateful. If you’re looking for a relaxing, heartfelt getaway, I cannot recommend Mrs. Sue’s place enough. It’s a hidden gem where hospitality and kindness truly shine. We’ll cherish the memories forever and hope to return one day.

Had a lovely 2 nights at Yohann’s place. The house and grounds are beautiful in a very secluded area but easily accessible by car on well maintained tarmac. Chamara and Sampath were on site to help us check in and show us around the accommodation. They also provided a lovely bbq dinner on our arrival with excellent subsequent meals made completely according to our preferences. Would love to stay again and I’d highly recommend Yohann’s place.

Hashan was brilliant! Very good host and the authentic Sri Lankan breakfast each morning was such a great touch (I could definitely get used to curry for breakfast every morning!). Such a beautiful place and very remote. Only downside was the bugs which I suppose is expected in a forest!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Peter’s cabin. It gave us a wilderness feel without really being in the wild. The cabin is in the village very near the tourist town centre. The space is as the photos. The cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable enough for us. It can get warm in the day but the ceiling fan on full blast helps. Lion’s rock can be seen clearly from the cabin. Although Peter was not there, he was a great host who was friendly, responsive and made every effort to ensure we had a nice stay.

Accom is as described - basic amenities provided, hairdryer on request. My friends and I enjoyed the padi field view right in front of our rooms. Sigiriya rock fortress can be seen from the lake which is a short walk away from the accom. Hospitable host; refreshing fruit juice was provided on arrival and departure. We wanted to catch the sunset after we arrived, and the host arranged for her son to guide us to the water tank to catch the beautiful sunset. We enjoyed the nature walk to the water tank a lot. Food is awesome, recommended to try their local meal!
