If you want peace and quiet but to also be within walking distance of virtually EVERYTHING, stay at the Khayabaan! Beautiful family and amazing staff made sure I was comfortable and fulfilled all of my requests… they went out of their way to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the atmosphere is calming & serene… I slept well and recovered from my jet lag very quickly. If you want to cook your own food, they supply you with whatever cookware/utensils you need, and you can find groceries (and everything else) just footsteps away. The location is prime for shopping. A 28 minute walk/8 minute drive will get you to Lal Chowk, where you can eat, shop and take a stroll along the Jhelum river. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning! I stayed here during my solo trip, and I can confidently say that this is a valuable and safe place to stay, especially for a woman traveling alone. I felt secure throughout my stay. Musaib, the owner, is very kind and always ready to help whenever needed. The amenities are comprehensive, and everything you might need is available, including a well-equipped kitchen and the convenience of having a washing machine and a drying rack. Additionally, the accommodation is conveniently located near shops and the main road, making it easy to travel to various places. I could easily walk to buy things or find food. Overall, I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially solo female travelers. It’s not only cost-effective but also safe and feels like home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic Airbnb, and I cannot stop raving about it. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that made our stay truly unforgettable. The host, Basharat, is an absolute gem. He goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a remarkable experience. Communication was seamless, and he provided all the information I needed before my arrival. He even gave me some great local tips on where to eat and explore, which made my trip all the more special. The property itself is a true hidden gem. Tucked away in a peaceful and picturesque neighbourhood, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The charming apartment was beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained. It felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail in every corner was evident, from the cozy furnishings to the thoughtful amenities provided. Highly recommended!

The place is cozy and well-maintained, making it a great option for a stay with friends or family. Though the food options were limited, everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff was respectful and attentive throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and equipped with heaters, hot water, and electric bed warmers, which made the stay comfortable. However, there were frequent power cuts that occasionally affected access to hot water. Also, keep in mind that the property is located about 30 minutes outside of Srinagar, not within the city itself.

I recently had an amazing stay at an Airbnb property that exceeded all my expectations. The property manager, Yasmeenji, was incredibly hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property itself was stunning, with breathtaking views and modern amenities that made me feel right at home. One of my favorite memories was having morning tea with my family in the beautiful garden overlooking the Zabarwan mountain range. The location was also perfect, with easy access to local restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in a picturesque location. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the caretaker, Sahid, and the cook, Sajjad, for taking wonderful care of us. I must mention the delicious Kashmiri food that Sajjad prepared for us - it was truly amazing!

The location is beautiful and endearing. Peaceful, surrounded by apple orchards, walnut trees and other lush greenery. Inside the house was as advertised, well stocked and comfortable. An Absolute Gem in Srinagar – The Citadel Our stay at Salima’s place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The property itself is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and truly feels like a home away from home. A special shoutout to Chef Mr. Hameed and Sajad, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The meals were nothing short of exceptional – fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor. They anticipated our needs and made sure we had everything we could possibly want. I highly recommend The Citadel to anyone visiting Srinagar. It’s a hidden gem — perfect for those looking for comfort, care, and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to return!

The place was perfect for my family. My lil ones enjoyed the Garden and playing Sheru(Dog) and Chicken..... location is surrounded with beautiful mountains.

The place is in a lovely neighbourhood with all the amenities of a regular home. The property is from 10 mins walking distance from Dal Lake. So take a stroll in the evening or enjoy delicious kebabs at Dal Lake. Overall the property is solid 5 star. And finally the host Kesar aunty is the sweetest person you would meet. Her Kawah is to die for. It would surely book the property again if I travel to Srinagar.

We stayed at The Khayabaan for 5 days and it has been a wonderful experience. We were given a very warm welcome by the host Basharat ji both metaphorically and literally. Basharat ji and Rahul welcomed us with some warm kahwa(this was awesome) and snacks. Basharat ji made sure to stay in touch during our entire stay and made sure to give us lots of local recommendations. Rahul was simply outstanding, I was travelling with parents and kids and opted to eat at home and he made sure no one regretted that decision. On our request, he cooked some amazing food each night and that made our stay all the more comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Basharat ji. Overall it was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

Our stay was truly wonderful — the place was absolutely serene, beautifully maintained, and offered the perfect escape into peace and tranquility. The host was incredibly accommodating, making sure everything was just right for us. A special mention to the property manager, Mustaq, who was exceptionally helpful and always available whenever we needed anything. His attentiveness and professionalism made a real difference. Given the tense, war-like situation in Kashmir during our visit, Mustaq went above and beyond — staying in constant touch and ensuring our safety and well-being until we reached home.
