Living by the sea.

Lamar is a house which was finished renovating in Sept 2022. From an old fisherman's house we have created two completely independent houses on the sea. The house in question has three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, a service bathroom and three terraces, located a few meters from the sea, one of which is covered. On the ground floor terrace there is a small but beautiful marble jacuzzi/pool. On the second floor terrace there is an outdoor shower overlooking the sunset.

In our neighbourhood we practice snorkeling and wind surfing. The house has three levels and is fully air-conditioned. We have a spacious terrace with nice views of the ocean and the sunset. After a rather tiring journey by bus from camaguey to havana (not recommended) we were picked up at the airport by a particularly nice young man in a real antique American car, even though we were more than an hour later than planned, we were asked in advance if we still wanted to use dinner, and this was even prepared fresh for us at 2200 hours. After a glass of wine, slept wonderfully in a well-functioning air conditioning. Next day breakfast at the time indicated by us. We were able to stay in our room until our driver took us back to the airport Definitely recommended and also a very friendly and helpful host, all in all great!

I had a great time at Aliuska's place! The room is exactly as described and surrounded by a beautiful garden. I enjoyed spending the evening looking at sunset from the porch. For those interested: Aliuska and her husband are artists, and their art is on display! I also use this opportunity to recommend Alex, a local guide that Aliuska put me in touch with: Alex knows about everything of Soroa and the nature that surrounds it, including Aliuska's garden and its history. Would recommend his guidance if you decide to stroll around!
