Cabin holiday rentals in Crumpler

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

*100/10* This was our second time staying at The Glass Treehouse and it was just as fantastic the second time around as the first! It's so comfortable and cozy, luxurious amenities, secluded and romantic. You can tell that Ashley and Andy really put a lot of thought and care into the design and amenities for the guests. I highly recommend it to any couple looking to get away for some quality time together. We will definitely be back!

Everything was great. Loved the porch and the views. Lots of great extras such as coffee pods, spices, paper products, etc.

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

This property is exactly as described in the listing. Gorgeous view, comfortable, and easy to settle in to. My kids loved the well stocked toy shelves and hot tub, and my husband and I were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful view on the deck. Heather was incredibly kind, helpful, and gracious in all our interactions. Will definitely book again.

The A-frame was exactly as described. Kitchen was well stocked, appreciate the coffee! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels, etc. we wished we had time for one more night here to enjoy all the board games!

Can’t say enough about this place. Everything was as described. Clean, nicely decorated and private. Lots of things to do around the area and if you just wanted to stick to the cabin. There wasn’t once where we thought “you know if would be nice if we had a” or “I need a”… and we opened a cabinet or drawer and there was what we needed. Made it very much like a home and not an Airbnb. Thank you. We will be back.

We loved staying here! The cabin was perfect and it had everything we needed. The bathroom was nicely updated, the kitchen and linens were clean, and the couch and bed were super comfortable! Great amenities in a beautiful place for a reasonable price!

Very nice country cabin, comfortable and peaceful. Family felt right at home in spacious home, back patios best place to chill and enjoy the forested yard.. well equipped kitchen to keep everyone fed. Thanks to Steven for a great place to stay, he was attentive without being intrusive. Wish we could have stay longer.

This cabin was great for us! Right by the state park, and stocked with a great nostalgic DVD collection

Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Marilyn’s space was perfect for a weekend getaway. Compatible kitchen (note there is no full sized oven but this wasn’t an issue), comfortable furniture, and absolutely stunning surroundings. We spent nearly all day outside hiking, wandering the property, or simply sitting in the yard/eating in the gazebo. Would one thousand percent stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful stay! Marilyn was also available for any needs we had and was respectful of privacy at the same time. Couldn’t be happier!

My girlfriend and I loved staying here. Cassandra’s place is very private and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and building a bonfire. Also, we snuggled and watched a movie and were able to explore around the mountains. I’d highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Loved staying at the cabin. The atmosphere was very cozy and the view was wonderful. John was communicative and had everything at the cabin that we needed for our stay.

It was a really really wonderful place to get away from everything and just be. I used this time to write music and the acoustics in the church were just incredible. The sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing and the porch is the perfect place to enjoy your meals. Can’t wait to be back and can’t recommend enough!!!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Roxy’s Riverfront Playhouse. It is an adorable cabin with beautiful views of the New River and a spacious backyard. This cabin wasn’t as well-appointed as other comparable river properties we have stayed in, as you need to bring many standard items (e.g. dish sponge, foil, shampoo, basic condiments, etc). There was a nice collection of DVDs and games for the whole family. The host was friendly and very responsive to an issue we had and resolved it quickly. To note, what we assumed was the driveway looking at the listing photos belongs to a different property. There is a covered campsite that is steps away from Roxy’s house, but nobody was there during our stay, thankfully.  It was very quiet and peaceful there and our kids enjoyed playing and fishing in the river.

Carolyn is a great host, she is respond promptly to inquiries and she even provided many tips about how to enjoy the surrounding areas. The cabin is beautiful in a very peaceful and serene place. We especially enjoyed the back porch and the creek that flows next to it. We also enjoyed the board games provided by the host. We went hiking and there are very pretty trails around particularly near Boone which is only 20 minutes away! I definitely give this cabin 2 thumbs up!

Brandon was wonderful to work with and extremely responsive. The cabin was rustic with up-to-date amenities. Beautiful property and such a calm peaceful place to get away and relax.

This is a very well maintained and beautifully decorated cabin. I loved being surrounded by trees and being close to nearby hikes and outdoor adventures. The only thing I would change would be the proximity to the road. The cabin does sit just off a well travelled road, which was a bit disappointing as we didn’t get the serenity of being in the middle of the woods. But everything else about the place was amazing.

We stayed for only three days but had a great time. The kids loved the game room.

A few things I did not know until booking. It’s 2 cabins you get with your booking. 1 bedroom each cabin. Super cute and had everything you needed. Beds were comfy and there’s a futon in each cabin in the living space. From pictures, it looks like the cabin may possibly be right near the river. To access the river, you would need to walk down the road since the cabins sit up on side of the mountain. We enjoyed our stay with friends who were able to occupy the other cabin. The host, high mountain cabin rentals, were super friendly and helpful with all your questions and needs. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy a few peaceful days n the mountains. The kitchen had all of the basic amenities, the beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. The proximity to Boone was a big plus. We can’t wait to come back!
