Jennifer was the nicest host throughout our stay. She was always responsive and very considerate of all our needs. The house in itself is a beauty. There's also another little house on top of the garage that's so cute all set up like a hotel room. The outside area is huge and super private and the canopied deck was so beautiful to sit or swing and watch the rain. We'll definitely be returning here!

We had a great relaxing weekend at the house. Everything was as described. The house is much larger inside than you would think from looking at it. Very spacious and plenty of deck and outdoor space. The HotTub was relaxing as well. We spent most of the time at the pier fishing where we always got a bite and caught many fish. Our trip was too short, next time I’ll make sure to get a Monday checkout so we can enjoy it more! Hosts were very quick to answer any questions I had. Overall, a great place to take the family to relax over the weekend and plenty of space for each child to bring a friend!

Kim's home is as homely as one could ever feel like. The home is as genuine and authentic and real as Kim is. The experience was more unbelievable and amazing than we ever could've hoped for. I'll never pay to stay anywhere else in East Texas from now on. No other place could have been a better match, than Kim's, for my love for Lake Livingston and the East Texas area.

Amazing place to go with family and friends!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was clean, beautifully maintained, and comfortably cool thanks to the two A/C units—perfect for hot days. The kitchen was fully stocked (just missing a cutting board, but that wasn’t a big deal), and fresh towels and linens were provided. Wi-Fi was also available, which was a nice bonus. We loved fishing right behind the large, beautiful pool—just steps from the bank. I’d recommend bringing a couple of lawn chairs to relax while you fish. The on-site bar and restaurant offered excellent service, and the pool itself was fantastic. The restrooms near the pool were impressively clean and spacious—honestly gave off Buc-ee’s vibes! The location is super convenient, with a Brookshire Brothers just 5–8 minutes away and Walmart about 20 minutes out. We truly enjoyed everything about our stay—the location, the hospitality, and all the amenities. We’re already planning to come back with the family again!

Sabrina was kind and friendly when helping me locate the office. They take great care of their cabins and guests. I appreciated signs around the trail for night time navigation. Great location if looking for a place to escape from the noise of life.

Our stay at Lagoon Ranch was great. We had our 8 month old with us and they even provided a bed rail for the bunk bed. The cabins were clean and brand new. A little bare on the decor, we only had one twin size blanket to share A/c worked great in the Texas heat, the resort pool was really nice and it was great having a restaurant on the premises. The Arcade was not ready and the mercantile was a little light on items. The WiFi was not strong enough so could not use the two tvs in the cabin. I also felt the pool bar was unkept for what I expected of a resort. I was kind of expecting some music and an active swim up pool bar but it was a little dead, and not very clean, once it finally opened the bar wasn’t wiped down from all of the bugs that had died on the bar the night before. Also would have loved if they had scheduled some live music on their stage for Friday nights, but that is preference from parents who don’t get out much and it would have been nice to see some activity.

Our week-long stay at Franklin's home was truly amazing. The house is incredibly beautiful, clearly built with love and attention to every detail, which you notice from the moment you arrive. Every part of the house felt cozy and private. The upper terrace was perfect for bird watching, dining, and reading. The Jacuzzi was extremely comfortable and a great way to spend time with the kids. The fire pit was splendid, and there were so many places for barbecuing. The dock had everything we needed for fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the water. The surrounding nature was stunning, with beautiful sunsets every evening and a variety of bird species. We even spotted a crocodile, turtles, and plenty of fish in the water. Our family was so captivated by the experience that we didn't want to leave, and my son keeps asking when we can return. Thank you, Franklin, for allowing us to stay in your incredible home!

Nice small cabin for a person or a couple. They just started so I am sure some improvement will come along. Friends can come and stay in tents

I wish I didn't have a word limit, because this is the greatest AirBNB experience I've ever had. We were blown away - it so far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect because you're 10 minutes from all the fun but you're far enough out that you feel safe, peaceful, and relaxed. The house is a dream, but the hosts and the property are what made it magical. Roland and his sweet wife are truly some of the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever encountered, I joked that I wished they could adopt us! And their property is a labor of love, built by Roland himself. Take quiet walks on the cobblestone paths and visit the cows and the fig trees, sip on coffee on the covered porch in the rocking chairs, or walk over to their little lake for a serene sunset. Truly I cannot say enough good things about this place. It has a piece of our hearts now. <3 And also, they were SO SWEET to our doggy who had just as great of a time here!!! :) Thank you Roland. We can't wait to come back.

Great place to stay for our Thanksgiving getaway!

This cottage was fantastic! It was exactly as described and the host was so responsive and helpful. It was very clean, comfortable and the host worked with us to check out a little later than planned as well. The location is perfectly situated between Rusk and Jacksonville and easy to access and get to local attractions. I would absolutely stay again!

this was just a breath of fresh air when we pulled up to this amazing cottage. It was more than we hoped for everything that you seen in the pictures and more. Thank you so much for such a beautiful opportunity to stay at your beautiful, secluded cottage, we will definitely be back Anybody that was hesitating about this place don’t hesitate seriously book it. The property is so serene and relaxing. Such a calming environment. A lot of beautiful nature sounds…wind blowing in the trees, all kinds of birds singing, crickets, etc. Nearby there were the most adorable donkeys, gorgeous horses, cute chickens and a rooster. We spotted some precious deer. They have fish food available to feed the fish and turtles. They have a lot of games (indoor & outdoors), movies, books and magazines. They have 3 smart t.v.’s. Great bathroom and kitchen amenities. Also, comfortable beds. Very nice and clean and lots of great smelling candles. The huge porch was soooo nice with a ceiling fan, string lights, etc. It was nice to see the star filled sky! They have a pier by the water and also have a fire pit :) Palestine is 10-15 minutes away with a lot of shopping, restaurants, 4 hr train ride, etc. I would definitely recommend this host/place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My kids loved the old cabin feel, and even in the hot Texas heat. Those trees gave us plenty of shade to run around and watch the birds from the deck. There was nothing like reading a book and having a view of lake with an ice cold beverage.

We had a great time staying here. Our two dogs were in heaven with all the space and were welcomed as soon as we checked in with dog bowls and dog beds 😀. Incredible view of Lake Livingston. Kartikes were fantastic hosts and very responsive to our questions. We will definitely be booking again ❤️. 5 Stars across the board 😀.

The home we stayed in was lovely. The inside was beautiful and well stocked with pots , pans, washing machine, dryer-just like home. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept like a baby. The house is 35 minutes away from college station and the drive was direct and pleasant to and from college station. Easy to find even at night-there was a big sign on the road so you would not miss it. I would rent this home again and we had a lovely weekend. We were there for family weekend. The host, house and the surroundings was fabulous and I would suggest this rental to anyone. The porch was so lovely-there is a swing and I had my coffee in the morning on that swing. I repeat, a great place to be at and I will be going back. Thank you for a lovely stay. Tomalee

Fantastic stay! Peaceful surroundings in a very comfortable home

Had a great Memorial weekend with the family at Miguel’s place. Was right by the water with boat ramp and pier for fishing. Caught a few fish but the water had a lot of debris there floating through but other than that it was good. We had fun with the games up stairs and in the downstairs room. They have axes and ninja stars to throw at the bullseye. Plastic of course but still fun and they also had corn hole as well. It was very peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed our stay.

loved sitting by the water listening to the waves. besides seeing the snake in the water that scared me to death lmao. it was so peaceful and a nice getaway to bring in father's day.
