Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Coulounieix-Chamiers

We stayed two nights in Mickael's house, as a family. This rustic, comfortable and spacious house is welcoming.

Linda and Alex's villa is in a beautiful & peaceful location, it has a fantastic swimming pool and beautiful gardens with lots of things to do – table tennis, swimming, boules, & relaxing 😌 The area is wonderful with lots of River swimming and beautiful towns all within a 10/15 minute drive We will definitely be returning

Great rural location and wonderful hosts! Near the famous Riberac Friday market, and picturesque villages like Aubeterre, Bourdeilles, Brantome, etc.

We had the pleasure of staying at Anne's and met a lovely host, full of good humour. She made sure we didn't miss anything for our stay without being intrusive. The accommodation is even nicer in real life than in the photos, the calm there is master, you will find something to do in the accommodation or there is no shortage of activities in the surroundings. We are already thinking about when we will return.

We had a lovely stay in Marie Pierre's pretty atypical house, in the heart of a beautiful region. The neighborhood is quiet, the house is comfortable, and we were very well received by the neighbor. Marie Pierre is a person who listens, is available and ready to be of service, even if unfortunately we were not able to meet her.

The space, the welcome, the amenities were excellent! Lots of mosquitoes in the evening but the outdoor spaces equipped with mosquito nets make it possible to overcome this. Thanks!

Everything lived up to our expectations based on the property description and all the previous positive reviews. The property is in a stunning location and has every amenity we could wish for. Severine was super friendly and extremely flexible, it was clear that she wanted us to make ourselves completely at home both in the Airbnb property itself but also when using all of the amenities shared with her as she lives in the main house. If you plan to stay in the area this is definitely where you will want to stay!

Such an idyllic stay! The gîte is perfectly located amidst peaceful surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the middle of the French countryside. The garden is enormous, and was a lovely area for our little girl to run around. The pool area is very clean and looks new, located within the grounds , it’s a little walk from the gite but this is great for feeling of privacy. The gite itself is well equipped, clean, spacious and remains cool even when it’s very warm outside. A home away from home. It’s very easy to park outside the front. The local village is very picturesque with restaurants, boulangerie, mini supermarket. It’s a quick drive down, but was too far for us to walk, especially in the heat. Sarah was a fantastic host, was very easy to contact and responsive. Such a wonderful introduction to the Dordogne region for my family and I100% would recommend. Merci beaucoup pour tout, Sarah. Nous avons vraiment passé un séjour incroyable!! On avait pas envie de partir!

Catherine and Bernard are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is well located, quiet, spacious and pleasant. Perfect for visiting the area!

We had a great stay in Bergerac. Nicole personally met us and showed us where to park ( this was a bonus) and how to access the home. All was very straight forward. This is a home extraordinaire, but comfortable. For a central city location there is a lot of room. The deck is an added bonus. The location was excellent, right in the old town. The town is an excellent location to explore the area.

Very nice apartment, nicely decorated. Very well located to enjoy the center of Périgueux with free parking nearby. Be careful with young children as there are plenty of decorations and plants accessible to their height, but that's what gives this apartment a crazy charm.

It is everything the other reviewers say and more. The commitment to the theme is amazing. It is clear that Sabrina wants you to have a magical experience.

We had a great stay at La Maison Chaleureuse, and were very comfortable in the Nautical Suite, which was beautifully set out. Warmly greeted by Ann and Daniel, it was lovely to be treated to breakfast provisions and bottles of wine! The spacious apartment and the outdoor pool was perfect for our 4 night stay, and the location is great - short walk to restaurants, boulongerie and an amazing Friday market. A great place to just relax by the pool, it was also ideal to explore the area with visits to Périgueux, Brantôme and Bordeaux. Thanks Ann and Daniel.

Charming cottage ideal for spending a few quiet days, close to many activities, restaurant, shops and hiking trail! Recommended!!

We spent a wonderfully restful and restorative week staying at Le Lapin Sur le Toit. The house is very old and characterful, and full of quirks. Extremely comfortable, both inside and outside, whatever the weather is doing; we had mostly very hot weather and were glad of the thick stone walls keeping the house nice and cool. The kitchen is well-equipped. We made use of local markets (the one in Rouffignac on Sunday morning is great for essentials, and there is a bigger one in St Cyprien) The small 8 à 8 Carrefour in Rouffignac has all the basics, and bigger supermarkets at Le Bugue and Montingac. The garden is beautiful and very private. We are not bird experts by any means, but saw and heard woodpeckers, cuckoos and hoopoes. We saw lizards, deer, bats and walked down to the field at the bottom of the garden to see the horses. Cat also came to inspect us on evening patrol. Overall, a beautiful, comfortable house in a peaceful, tranquil setting.

fantastic place.. kids 11,9,5 loved trampoline, ropes course, swing and heated pool (which is alarmed so provided peace of mind) steep stairs to 2 bedrooms on lower floor where older kids slept. 5yr old and us slept in two bedrooms on ground floor with kitchen, lounge, dining etc. BBQs every day by pool. very private yet 5 min bike ride into village (although hill on way back - our 5 year old managed it but had to walk). great sports park in town with pump track, football pitches, tennis courts, basketball and crazy golf (all free but take equipment) and pop up bar! kids insisted on going back daily! good kid friendly pizza restaurant, pharmacy, bank, post office, minimarket amazing boulangerie, market with local produce on Mondays all in town. recommend flat traffic free cycle ride from Le Bugue to Limeuil (6km) on velo verte along valzere river (fab market on Tuesday in le Bugue). also amazing day kayaking down Dordogne (aquafun in limeuil) host v responsive and place immacate

We had an amazing 6 days. We adored the gite and we made friends with the chickens, the cat and a local dog. It’s amazing for children. And yet so peaceful. I would highly recommend this place

We stayed here in June 2025. The villa was absolutely fantastic. The location is ideal for a short drive to local towns like Sarlat, but is nestled away over looking the dordogne river! Didier was extremely helpful and proactive with communication. I could not have chosen a better place to stay.

Spectacular stay at Le Cheval Blanc! We loved our week at this large but charming house in the countryside. Beautiful, clean and cozy bedrooms! Large comfortable living room area with a wood stove that came in handy in the unusually cool September. The kitchen-wow. The best appointed kitchen we have ever encountered! And then, there are the hosts that went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal. Delicious welcome meal and a well stocked fridge to get us started. Bill and Jill were friendly and very helpful. Walks in the area possible. Many villages to visit within an hour or two. It was an amazing week. You should stay at Le Cheval Blanc!

Stunning! Yes the house is amazing and the space is well furnished and the material noble (wood and stone)… but for us it was the stunning views of the entire valleys and the bright stars in the jacuzzi at night which made this place unforgettable.

Great house with a pleasant garden and super swimming pool! Everything you could possibly need is in the house. Communication with the owner is very smooth and we were also kindly received upon arrival. All instructions for a carefree stay were given. We have enjoyed our cycling holiday with the friends in this house enormously!
