Fire up the BBQ, relax in the barrel sauna, or light a fire in the outdoor fire pit and let your senses indulge in the natural setting. Located in the Outer Bay of Islands at the base of the Blow-me-Down Mountains, this seaside escape offers both ocean and mountain views with a nautical theme inspired by over four generations of local family fishing heritage. Located on a private, wooded lot with a short, on-site walking trail, leading to an ocean view lookout with private beach access. The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!
