Granary House Arouca

Imagine falling asleep to the sound of a rushing river and waking up with the chirping of birds and sights to an opulent green landscape. The architecture could become secondary, had it not been so thoroughly designed. Located in Arouca, Portugal, the Granary House was a labor of love and was the result of a rare opportunity to realise an absolutely special and unique project: a sumptuous green terrain overlooking a river, which becomes the perfect setting to relax and enjoy nature.

Five minutes from the city center, just above the Castle of Guimarães, it rises from the X sec, the Casa de Margaride. This property was owned by Countess Mumadona Dias and is referred to in the medieval documentation as "Villa Margaridi", in a letter that dates from the year 1021. - Toninha's Lodge is an exquisite Spa Villa with Jacuzzi / Hot tub in an absolutely private garden. Casa de Margaride and its Garden are classified by the Portuguese State as a World Heritage Site.

Access is made (in the last 500 meters) by land and it is necessary to pay attention to the directions we provide so that you do not get lost.
