Barn accommodation in Corrèze

We had an absolutely wonderful visit to Pieter’s gite, it having everything we could need, spotlessly clean and in the most beautiful and peaceful setting surrounded by wild flower meadows. Pieter and Marjon were the best hosts, very warm and friendly, always happy to help and providing us with wine and dinner on arrival and some essentials in the fridge. It was a 20/25 minute walk to the lake at Sussac which was great for relaxing and swimming. The closest town with a supermarket is a short drive away so a car is needed.

We spent three nights in Pierre's proposed accommodation. We enjoyed our stay despite the bad weather. We were able to enjoy a good wood fire and wide open spaces. Pierre was very nice, whether it was friends and family. I recommend staying there.

We enjoyed everything about our holiday, with slight exception of the weather, which dropped from weeks of 31 degrees to 21 degrees and less, as soon as we arrived, with lots of cloud and a cool breeze! There is absolutely nothing else to complain about. The house itself was beautiful, spotless, tastefully decorated and very well equipped, with very comfortable beds as an added bonus. Both François and Hélène have made a great job of providing the most lovely place to stay, handy for so many attractions of the Dordogne and right on the edge of the pretty village of St. Genies, with its handy boulangerie, boucherie and mini supermarket. We’ll come back, like a shot, if we possibly can. Thank you both for your care and concern that everything was as it should be, as it certainly was. 😊

What an absolutely beautiful place, fantastic for a small family with an amazing pool, in a lovely part of Correze that we’d not visited before - but will certainly be returning to! And also a special mention for Gwenaelle, who was a wonderfully helpful and responsive host throughout, whilst also giving us complete privacy.

We had a very nice family stay with our 2 children. The house is charming, functional and well equipped, the pool is more than pleasant and the environment is really conducive to relaxation. A perfect base for visiting the Dordogne and discovering Corrèze! Thank you to Monique for her kindness and warm welcome.

Nicole’s home is in a great location in the Périgord region. Within a 5-10 min walk you have an Intermarché and a small local farmers market store. The house is on a very calm street, and perfect yard to run around (fenced in for a dog too). Nicole and her husband were very welcoming with a bottle of wine and a homemade clafoutis. It was a great stay for our family, pictures are accurate and the host was very kind!

Very nice place for a peaceful weekend with friends.

We had booked for 3 nights, in the end we stayed all week because we found it a great place. The gite was very cozy and authentic and felt like a home: good bed, good shower and a very fully equipped kitchen. And in addition, the warmth, hospitality and all the tips on what to do in the Sam area made this holiday a highlight! A place to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Olivia and Philipp's place. The house is absolutely superb, very comfortable, renovated with beautiful volumes and decorated with great taste. The park is huge, a very beautiful 19th century arboretum with remarkable trees and very rich vegetation. Our kids loved spending their days outside, between the park, the beautiful pool and the barn converted into a beautiful very well-equipped game room and library. A huge thank you to Olivia and Philipp for their warm and friendly welcome. We recommend 100%!

We had a great time at La Jarrige cottage. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. Danielle was discreet, attentive and very available to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Very convenient and modern cottage with the charm of the old on the Route des Estives. We were very well received. We enjoyed the calm and charm of the place.

Emilie’s property and house are absolutely beautiful — nicer than any airBNB I’ve ever stayed in. The house is spotlessly clean and full of thoughtful details, the furnishings and fittings are high-end, and Emilie has a really great aesthetic that’s carried throughout the property. Emilie is a kind and lovely host. I’m normally too lazy to leave airBNB reviews, but in this case I must — 10/10 would recommend staying here!

A very nice stay in the refurbished barn of Lucie and Olivier, a very nice mountain holiday settlement atmosphere with a group of friends. The place met our expectations! Note, Lucie lives in the house next door and shares the garden with the tenants. If you want to walk naked in the garden, it's missing 🤭

Very pleasant stay with friends spent at this cottage! Cécile is a proactive host, available and with good advice for managing the stay, it's nice. The accommodation matches the description, is perfectly equipped and the location is perfect to be quiet ( remains a little far from downtown, the car is mandatory here). Perfect for children too, everything is available to make the stay easier. Everything was perfect, we'll be back!
