Mcintosh Cottages - Cottage 1

SonjaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Lovely, cosy cottage with lots of thoughtful touches from Margaret (fresh cut flowers, prepped fireplace, yummy biscuits and a fridge stocked with more than the usual provisions!). The place was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a 2-night stay. It was lovely to meet Margaret in person upon our arrival and have the chance to hear a bit about the town and get some local recommendations! Thank you for everything Margaret.

Kings View Farm ‘The Cottage’ - side of Mt Roland

TiffanyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our favourite stay in Tasmania. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated in beautiful hills. We were welcomed into the cottage with ANZAC biscuits. Tracy and Quinton were wonderful host, sharing their farm and beautiful animals that we had the joy of petting and feeding. They were so kind and went above and beyond providing some local produce and stocked kitchen. We had so much fun at this farm stay and exploring nearby areas, a must book and we hope to return!

Somewhere Else Accommodation

PeteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Karen was very hospitable and made an effort to set up the fireplace before we come back during the sunsets. She's also very friendly and welcoming. I could feel that she's very proud of her place, I believe that's what keeps her enthusiasm going in keeping the place nice for guests each time. Really blessed and lucky to be able to stay in Karen's place. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Sheffield.

Buttons Cottage rural romance under stars

The pictures and description don’t do this place justice! This place was simply perfect. An idyllic haven, the freshest air, skies full of stars, and the most clean, cozy and toasty cottage you could ever imagine. Alison was the most wonderful host - she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed, and she brought us to meet and feed all her lovely pet sheep, cows and dog. We had an amazing time here, thank you Alison!

The Unit on Hurst Street

Paula’s place was perfect for our two-night stay! One of the best hosts we’ve ever had. We really appreciated the fresh eggs, homemade jam, and honey from the onsite hives. Such a peaceful and welcoming stay and we’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at Marrawah. Simon had thought of everything and we felt so comfortable straight away. This place is perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway complete with beach walks, outdoor baths, beautiful views, and all the amenities inside the cosy cabin you could need. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The Top Paddock

KristinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We chose Kaye's yurt as it was in the area where we were going to do a wedgetail eagle citizen science survey. We like to seek out interesting places outside the towns and this definitely met that criterion. Both my friend and I like camping so the idea of off-grid was attractive and not at all daunting. The best thing was the attention to detail and quality of every amenity in the yurt and on the site - nothing was left out. It was part of the adventure to go through the boxes and find all the things that could be used to make ourselves comfortable and to have an enjoyable time. In wintry, rainy weather, we didn't get to experience the full range of enjoyments, such as the outdoor fire pit, hammock, outdoor cooking (no indoor cooking) etc so I would say one would have a fuller experience of this place by coming in the longer summer days. But the woodfired bathtub is a year-round attraction, and we loved it (though it worked better when Kaye lit the fire - thanks Kaye). And the goats!
