“Having a growing interest in telescopes and astrophotography, a trip to the 'Astronomy Capital of Australia' was always on the cards. We were looking for accommodation in close proximity to the township of Coonabarabran, it's local observatories and the Warrumbungles. Somewhere we could set up our scope and leave it safely unattended was a consideration but not essential. When we were lucky enough to stay at Skywatch Observatory Domestays we achieved all this and more! Gary and Merril couldn't have been more welcoming nor more thoughtful in providing a 'home away from home'! Their accommodation suite was spotless, spacious and comfortable. Their breakfasts were delicious and their company was invigorating. We'd love to visit again when their 'Skywatch Projection Dome' project is up and running. If you're a stargazer you may be interested in visiting My.Regional.Community to read about what they're planning and perhaps to cast a vote in their favour.”

“Lyn’s cottage was the perfect home base for adventures in the warrumbungles, providing every comfort of home in the beautiful township of Coonabarabran. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived, the extra touches found in our fridge was greatly appreciated! And despite the 40 degree days we had during our 4 day stay, the aircon managed to keep us comfortable. I would recommend Argyle cottage to anyone simply passing through, or staying the week!”

“Such a perfect spacious cottage for a relaxing holiday! Debbie and Wayne (and their little doggos) are perfect hosts who made us feel very welcome. Cottage was clean and tidy, and it was lovely to arrive to the fire going on a chilly day. A great location for exploring the scenic Warrumbungles, Pilliga Forrest and observatories. Highly recommended, thanks Debbie and Wayne!”
