Family-friendly holiday rentals in Comox Valley

It is an excellent option for your stay at Mt. Washington! We stayed during spring break, and the pool right across from the unit wasn't busy. The kids had a great time. Thanks, Barb!

Wendy's place was awesome! My family had a great time staying here for a week in late March, and found the place to be very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It was really nice to have a fully-stocked kitchen - even niche items like a cake mixer and vegetable steamer were available (indeed - baking cakes and steaming broccoli are both things we are known to do while on holiday 🙂). My kids also loved playing with the cool toys in the treasure chest in the main room, and picking out new books to read as bedtime stories from the shelves in their room upstairs. I would highly recommend this as a great accommodation for families on a Vancouver Island holiday.

Our family of 10 stayed at Annette and Ken’s for 7 days in August. It was even more amazing than we expected. The house was perfect for our large family with the huge seating area in the kitchen/dining area overlooking the yard and beautiful beach. We swam in the clear ocean and kayaked (provided) every day. I can’t say enough about this perfect spot or the friendly hosts. We will be back!

The most amazing place!! Highly, highly recommend staying at Nao and Tal’s if you’re ever visiting the area. Such a gorgeous, private, nature-filled area that felt extremely cozy and well thought out both indoors and outdoors. Loved the outdoor bath + fresh garden flowers! Everything about the stay was so charming, and we hope to return!

It was a joy to spend 3 nights at Hearts Delight! The chalet is adorable and the perfect size, with two adults and a small/medium dog, there was plenty of space and the kitchenette was perfect. Leah was a fantastic host with quick responses and easy communication especially as we arrived late on the first night! It was a gorgeous area and we will be happily returning in the future!

This is a fantastic quaint little beach cottage to enjoy the island's natural beauty. Easy access to fun on the water. The family really enjoyed the lawn sports items the hosts provided. Thank you!

Great for a big group (we were 10 adults), with a super location. A big dining room table, lots of cutlery and china, so we could share meals together. We slept well and beds cozy. Lots of work has been done in the garden to make it pleasant for visitors. Clean especially for a log home. Keep in mind there's only one shower so... lots of nooks and The foot massage and back massage equipment was appreciated. Be sure to look at the photos so you know how the place is finished and what the furniture is like, etc. We really enjoyed the games room and the games. Complete hit. Some of the basketball people got a bit competitive! Property is perfect for families and those that want to spend quality time together.

Wonderful location. A bit hard to find as it’s right off the highway and house number is on house which is set back from the road. Driveway is a bit tricky if there are other cars there. Beds were very comfy and lots of space for everyone! Can’t beat the views and so awesome for the kids to play on the beach

The pictures don't do this place justice. you might think because the decor is retro that it might be run down or old.. It absolutely is not,sure this stuff is an older style but everything in there feels brand new it's really neat very rustic cabin beautiful place lovely host.

We had great time staying at Taren's place. The place was spacious and well thought out and felt bigger than the pictures made it look. Plenty to entertain the kids with - games, toys, Wii, DVDs. Taren was quick to respond to questions. The place was initially tricky to locate but only because we weren't familiar with the area. We recommend using the village transportation to help with gear and then you get to enjoy the nice walk to the property. The ambience of no cars, foot traffic only is really unique and peaceful!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail of this cabin had been thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. Nestled right on the ocean, the views were absolutely breathtaking This cabin is truly a gem!

I think Leah was the best host we ever had! She prepared every detail with love and we enjoyed our stay a lot. We had some special needs for our baby and Leah helped us a great deal and took care of us like family. The bungalow is very comfortable and we were greeted every morning by wild rabbits or deer. The beach is just a short walk away and we already saw orcas on our very first day.

We had a great family mini getaway. Condo was spacious, great location and would book again.

We had a wonderful stay in Dave and Maggy’s place in Cumberland. Everything is was as advertised. The suite was well decorated, bright with lots of natural light, super clean and bigger than we expected. A really comfortable space. The kitchen was well stocked. The in-suite laundry was a bonus. The location can’t be beat. Close to everything and you can walk everywhere.

Liz & Dean made it very easy to enjoy our time there. They were communicative & welcoming, & we still had lots of privacy. Surprisingly one of our fave days was the day spent home in the rain, the cottage was so cozy. The rest of the days were spent in the sunshine, wandering the island & at the beach. The internet was not reliable, so I should have made sure we downloaded shows/podcasts ahead of time but we had lots of books luckily. This is a great spot as a home base to explore Hornby & we are grateful they shared their property with us.

We stayed at Melanie and Paul's suite for 4 weeks with our dog for a work trip. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and well-stocked with amenities. The fully-fenced yard was tranquil with a lovely garden. Melanie and Paul were kind, responsive and friendly hosts. We (especially our dog) loved how close this place was to trails and beaches, while also being a short 5-minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Bike commuting to the Comox hospital was straightforward from this location. Overall a fantastic place with awesome hosts.

We had a fantastic time. The location right by the water was the highlight of our stay. We even spotted whales and other wildlife with our binoculars. The accommodation was cozy and well-equipped, making us feel right at home. Thank you to our hosts for this memorable experience. We hope to return soon!

Patrick was very welcoming. Upon arrival gave us a quick run down. The property was behind beautiful and we can’t wait to return. Patrick let us know if activities happening and let us have a couple hour later to check out.

Perfect location to ski in ski out. Great lay out with bedrooms upstairs and open area for cooking and socializing downstairs. Nikki arranged for us to check in early so we could feed our twins right when we arrived. The toddlers loved the view to watch the snow plows! Would love to stay again!

Beautiful character home on a farm setting. Home had everything needed to feel right at home and the location was perfect for a proper disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Loved sleeping at night with the windows open and hearing the frogs and in the morning the turkeys gobbling. Had suppers on the patio overlooking the yard everyday. Will definitely stay with Eve again if I’m in the area!
