At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

A beautiful, comfortable , well appointed home set in the midst of the most breathtaking vista you could imagine. The view of the lake and volcanos is expansive and ever changing with the time and weather, but always awe inspiring. The pool and jacuzzi were a relaxing treat after a day of exploring! The interior was sparkling clean and very comfortable.

It was a brilliant stay with everything we needed and great communication. The plunge pool, sauna and net on the deck were big winners. Just do be advised since photos have been taken there is a bit of growth of plants around the property and a new house built next door. Also Nicolas does live on the property out the back who takes care, he is lovely and stays out of the way completely but just a heads up. Had everything we needed but would advise bringing food to cook as it is a bit out of town so having some meals at the place is recommended and a must with the view. Definitely wake up early to watch the stunning sun rises. Thanks for the stay

Our stay in the Zürich cabin was pleasant, comfortable but above all, elegant. Enjoying an alpine cabin in the cold climate of Tecpan was an excellent way to celebrate the anniversary with my husband. Sucy supported us at all times. The room is comfortable with heating, a work desk, clothes organisers, towels, basic supplies, the bathroom was clean and the kitchen was equipped. At night, the weather is in perfect harmony with the warm atmosphere in the living room, where we spend the evening wrapped in a blanket on a sofa with a rug and a cup of coffee. We'd definitely go back to that place.
