Holiday rentals with lake access in Colchester County

Our state was only for a few days wish it could’ve been longer because the place is fantastic beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommend it.

We really didn’t want to leave we loved it so much! Myself and a few girl friends enjoyed a long weekend at Maurice’s place. It was so quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful balance between keeping the charm of the old farmhouse and modern updates that made our stay perfect. The rooms were spacious and we all agreed the beds were very comfortable, and the sheets were so soft! We each had our own room, 4 rooms upstairs and one downstairs with a walk in shower. Which was perfect as one of our friends doesn’t do stairs well. We spent each day in the clean hot tub and had a fire in the fireplace each evening. The dining table is large and we played a lot of board games over the weekend there. The kitchen is well stocked and the gas stove was great. Maurice provides a lot of towels to accommodate shower use and hot tub use (there were 5 of us girls). The check out instructions were clear and simple. I can’t say enough great things about this house. We all agreed we can’t wait to come back

Great stay for two couples and a toddler who were looking for a close place to Wentworth to enjoy some skiing. super cozy with the wood stove, very large table, and well equipped kitchen. We did need to clear some of the entry of snow upon arrival, luckily we had a shovel.

Beautiful spot with easy access to water for swimming and kayaking. everything you need is at site. I believe it is in the description, but be aware owner and three dogs are on site.

We loved our stay here! The sauna, fireplace, record collection, kitchen nook, and overall vibe were lovely. It was super cozy but plenty spacious for 6 people. I'd recommend bringing your own water as the hosts suggest - it's safe to drink but can confirm it's VERY mineraly. I'd also recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner as they didn't have any on hand.

Lovely home -- feel very lucky to have been able to stay here for a few nights because they often are fully booked over the summer. A large and beautiful home with a lovely sunroom + romantic pier a bit further downhill from the home, as well as so many different outdoor nooks. The hosts provide very clear instructions for things like kayaks, hot tub, and the inside fireplace. The hot tub definitely takes some time to get going (would recommend giving it 6-8 hours), but there was lots of kindling and logs to support us figuring it out. Would 100% recommend bring mosquito spray to make the outdoor experience more pleasant. Kitchen is bountiful with kitchen tools (pots, pans, knives, cutlery) to make cooking such a pleasant experience. If you kayak across the lake, there are also some hiking trails!!!

Karen’s place had everything and more—incredibly well-equipped and spacious, comfortably fitting 14 adults. We had the best weekend playing all of the provided games, listening to music, and relaxing in the hot tub. The host was fantastic, offering early check-in and late checkout, making our stay even better. I highly recommend this space and can’t wait to return!

Great location, beautiful view of the lake. Excellent for snowmobiling and atving on the local trails. The cottage was very cozy, well equipped, comfortable. It was a very enjoyable stay. Will most definitely return again.

The home is tucked in amongst the trees away from all the noise of life, with a beautiful lake just a short walk away. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from life’s craziness…this is the place. I booked a stay with Michael to spend time with all the girls to reconnect, relax and celebrate before my daughter’s upcoming wedding. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us. There is a large deck off the back of the main level with 2 large tables as well as a bbq that is covered for use in inclement weather. We were pleasantly surprised to find several games including washer toss, bean bag toss and connect four located in the garage for guests to use. There is also an additional refrigerator in the garage for the overflow of food/drinks for large parties staying. My daughter and a couple of her girls enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub before bed. The atmosphere is a large peaceful cabin in the woods where you can watch for wild life and spend time with all your friends.

It is an incredibly beautiful place where I was allowed to be. Christiana has furnished the Moose River Cottage and brought it to life with her creativity, understanding of great details and a lot of heart. The expansive view from several sides of the house over the green areas into the woods lets you arrive in the here and now. It is not uncommon to spot one or two animals from the window. If you're looking for more hustle and bustle, Halifax is just three quarters of an hour away by car. The warmth, the great communication and her cheerful and open nature make Christiane the perfect hostess. If you want to get in tune with your inner compass, turn your back on stressful everyday life and have an open heart for the beauty of nature, then the Moose River Cottage is just right for you. I am very grateful for the wonderful and relaxing time and will be back very soon.

we had such a fantastic time at Emily's place! Emily was a very attentive host and made us feel super welcome during our stay. It was so relaxing watching the tides go in and out in the Bay of Fundy while drinking our morning coffee, and the kids had a great time with the games Emily left for them to play. The location is also super convenient to Masstown Market and Ski Wentworth, which was the main reason for our stay on the long weekend. Everything was perfect and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again anytime! Thanks Emily!
