Coffs Cottage

We loved Trevor's place for the three nights we stayed. Close to the beach/shoreline and lots of restaurants where in walking distance. Trevor's place was very clean and had some cool antiques. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Mark and Audrey

The Pouch B & B Moonee Beach NSW

BarbaraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful property, easily accessible, even for hubby with mobility issues and a Walker. From first arrival we felt welcome & relaxed. The Pouch was spotless, well laid out, plenty of room to move around. Bedroom was huge, and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom was huge too, plenty of room for the walker to move around. Furniture was comfortable and well laid out. The bonus was kangaroos grazing all day, and a beautiful outlook from the deck over the pond. Jane was happy to chat on arrival and show us the layout, and we saw Trevor working hard in the garden. This property is a credit to them both. We loved everything about it, and hope to revisit. We’ll definitely recommend it to friends& family. Thanks Jane & Trevor

Romantic getaway, bush setting. Central location

TaliaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely gorgeous property! We met Rob who showed us how to use the super cool lock that speaks to you and showed us around. He was super helpful and informative. When the wifi went down he and Lynn were super helpful and got it fixed straight away. The place is so unique and beautiful, we didn’t want to leave! The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a variety of snacks, plus milk and juice and a jug of cold water in the fridge. And also wine! We enjoyed playing go fish with the mini cards and our ‘homework’ decorating our board, it was so much fun. Definitely our best Airbnb experience and can’t wait to book again in the future!

Sea Le Vie @ Aanuka Resort w/spa - pool - tennis

VickiRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our stay at Caterina’s Aanuka Resort Bure was five star! We arrived to find the unit above expectation. A basket full of goodies (chips, biscuits, mineral water) was there to greet us. The unit was full of surprises, the fridge with sauces and condiments. The king size bed was very comfortable. The only drawback was no wifi which we were aware of as it was mentioned in the advertisement and the telephone reception was bad however the main resort had wifi. We loved the large bath and it was great to soak in it thank you for the magnesium mineral salts. The spa part of the bath was not working. The resort itself was fabulous, happy hour cocktails and the food very reasonable. Although we had terrible weather walks on the beach and through the beautiful grounds of the resort made for a restful stay. Thank you Caterina for the easy check in and check out.

Bonville Bush Retreat

ReneeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A charming home to stay at, offering privacy and nestled among stunning bushland with a lovely variety of native birds around including our favourite black cockatoos! The beds are comfortable, and the house is immaculate, equipped with most things we needed for our stay. We just needed to get firewood for our June visit as it was a bit cool during that time. Hosts are great and very helpful. House was easy to find and a short drive to Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas, gorgeous spot to visit!

Your guide to Coffs Harbour

Welcome to Coffs Harbour

Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane lies the dreamy Coffs Coast region of New South Wales, which encompasses 50 kilometres (31 miles) of Pacific Ocean shoreline as well as a tangle of hinterland laced with World Heritage-listed rainforest. At its heart lies Coffs Harbour, delivering everything you could want from a beach-meets-bush adventure. This laidback town is all about the great outdoors — whether you’re reclining on powdery stretches of sand at Jetty Beach, searching for whales or dolphins from Sealy Lookout, or hiking around Muttonbird Island, a sacred Indigenous site where wedge-tailed shearwaters nest. This jaw-dropping nature reserve is home to thousands of these beautiful birds, and their presence here defines the region as a birders’ paradise.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Coffs Harbour

Summer months are busy in Coffs Harbour, as you’d expect of a coastal town delivering sun, sand, and surf within easy reach of major Australian capitals. But this season can be hot and humid. If you’re planning inland expeditions to explore the rainforest — whether hiking or biking — consider coming here in the shoulder seasons of spring or autumn or across winter. These months also give you the best chance of spotting migrating humpback and southern right whales, which cruise up and down the east coast of Australia between May and November every year.

Top things to do in Coffs Harbour

Orara East State Forest

This wilderness reserve is best observed from Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout). The Forest Sky Pier here offers a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest, extending from the mountains across to the coast. This is your base for hikes and Indigenous tours through the national park.

Treetops Adventure Park

Dozens of adventure challenges and experiences await at this theme park — for kids of all ages — including screaming through the canopy on the world’s longest ziplines, navigating tree-top rope courses, and buckling in for a rollercoaster that offers a searing view of the scenery.

Solitary Islands Marine Park

Encompassing some 75 kilometres (47 miles) of coastline from Coffs Harbour north to the Sandon River, this marine park offers everything from sandy beaches to subtidal reefs, island to rocky shores. Explore by boat or with your head under water on snorkelling and diving expeditions, admiring some of the 550 fish, 600 molluscs, and 90 hard coral species that thrive here.
