Holiday houses in Cococodji

I've had the opportunity to stay in a lot of Airbnb, and I can say without hesitation that Sayade is the best host I've met. Extremely responsive, warm and always ready to make the stay as pleasant as possible, it truly embodies hospitality. The house itself is spacious, well laid out and comfortable to stay in. On three levels, it offers beautiful rooms, a very pleasant rooftop to enjoy the outdoors, and a small swimming pool that is a real plus to relax. The quality of the interior is also appreciated, offering comfort and serenity. It is good to note that access to the house is via an average dirt road, and that sometimes you have to wait a little to find a Gozem available to leave. On the other hand, no worries about coming back from Cotonou. Finally, the small hamlet where the house is located is typical with a few small shops.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gabin’s place. We were warmly welcomed, the space was very clean, and the staff was always available to answer our questions. It’s a beautiful place, especially the rooftop, such a nice spot to relax!

Exactly as advertised, yet so much more. A beautiful space with beautiful people and excellent hospitality. There is an element of African craftsmanship in the execution of the interior design that vibrates heritage as well as the new age we are entering. Same goes with the atmosphere and the social connectivity. Book this airbnb. You will be happy you did.

I highly enjoyed my stay in this quiet neighborhood with friendly people, no traffic noise and clean air. The apartment has everything you need, no matter if you want to work or just relax. At walkable distance from the IITA campus that also hosts other CGIAR centers like the World Vegetable Center and the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT. Great value for your money!

This Airbnb fundamentally delivers, I felt safe and may return. For Americans considering, I would have a few notes. First though we say we want to discover places, I think often what we really want are places where at least one or two "Gringos" (to use Mexican parlance) have opened cute coffee shops and places more to our custom. This is not that neighborhood. That's fine, just disclosing. Second, I am not accustomed to thinking of how many MW of electricity I use. Benin is hot, it seems there's no insulation and I used around 3x the electricity granted to be comfortable (about $10 a day surcharge), plan accordingly. Third, though the host said power outages were rare, there were 3 short outages in my 10 day period and when there's no electricity, there's no water. Also fine (it's Africa), but disclosing in case you're working remotely and choosing between this and one of the big hotels. Quiet street, I slept well. Great host with long and prosperous career ahead.

Listing as described. The stay went very well. Responsive host. The accommodation is not very far (by car or motorbike) from the fishing road and therefore from the beach of Fidjrossè, on foot it takes 30 minutes to walk. I would of course recommend this place to stay in Cottonou.
