The house, built in 1980 with exotic local wood replicates the “Haciendas Cafetalera”. Although the construction and layout are based on the original “Haciendas”, Casa de Campo is modernly equipped with all comfort you’d expect. Honeymooners, families, and even casual business travelers will find our piece of paradise.

El Sótano del Rooftop El Refugio in Jayuya

The Rooftop Basement El Refugio in Jayuya Puerto Rico is a glorified basement for one or two people. A quiet, comfortable and cozy space. Live the experience of showering while the mountain watches you and accompanies you. The aroma of coffee in the mornings invites reflection and connection with nature. The music is provided by the Gripiñas River while you take a nap in the hammock. El Refugio is a restaurant that you can walk up to or order by message and it is delivered to the door.

This is a large 2 story home with plenty of room for the entire family. The house accommodates up to 12 people max. no exceptions (including kids). The pool area creates a sense of a private resort living. There is room for everyone! It is located in Jayuya, about 2 hours from San Juan airport, and 1 hour from Ponce airport. It is centrally located next to a school, and within walking distance from bars, restaurants, and a market. This is a small town with a lot of charm.

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. The room is located bottom level of the building with spectacular views of the river and mountains. Quiet area with just the sounds of nature. The rooms are new and we are still working on the other rooms but no construction at this time. Food is in the area, with the Tres Picacho coffee plantation where you can have breakfast and stroll the grounds. Visit the only Hotair balloon on the island and many historic areas.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You will have nature at your feet. Just outside your door is a spectacular view of the river and of Los Tres Picacho, 3 mountains that are a climbing challenge. Keep your eyes out for our resident neighbors, iguanas, birds, Wilbur the horse, Michael Angelo the turtle, and daffy the duck. At night the sound of the rushing water and the coqui will put you to sleep. Many great local restaurants that are open on the weekends.
