We loved our stay here. Very cute private cottage, with an efficient fan and outdoors bathroom. Similar to photos. Palin was very helpful and reactive.

Hexagon House - 6min ride to hot springs

AntonRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This house is perfect for anyone looking for a simple cozy place to spend a few nights in Chiang Dao. Located in the middle between the hot springs and Microcosmos which is great. (Really surprised to find that there was a washing machine too!). Definitely coming back.

The stay was very good. Everything was as described and communication was very easy. A great location in the countryside! What could be improved is the cleanliness in the shared kitchen.

A great spot to escape for a rural/mountain getaway. Small collection of wooden huts with mountain views and a nice shared kitchen/dining area. Expect a few mozzies and geckos during the night.

Mountains Oasis wood villa Chiang Dao

RoyRating, 5 stars28 months ago
The stay at the home of Praek and his wife was amazing in one word! A beautiful Chinese-Thaise style wooden villa, with a huge living room with French doors (walls😆) on all sides, making it seem like you're in the middle of the open-air mountains. Praek's wife has a coffee bar and dining and makes delicious pizzas and coffee on request. They are extremely friendly and hospitable and Praek speaks good English, so communication is also not a problem. Scooters can be rented and you can bring it with you, also great rate! Wonderful for a day trip through the beautiful surroundings and nature 🥰 In short: we enjoyed the place, the natural quiet surroundings and our cheerful and friendly host and his wife. Alex also communicates very quickly, gives good tips and is super friendly. We enjoyed staying here and will definitely be back!

Fiber internet - Wooden House in Quiet Hamlet

OliviaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This place is really cute. The room is lovely, and the location is really peaceful. The kitchen is quite small and basic, but still has everything you need to make your own meals there. The are 2 cafes really close by (we loved Cafe My Day Off, the coffee there is delicious!). You can also walk to the main street which has a 7-11, market and pharmacy, etc. Fye is also a fantastic host! She is really proactive and responsive. She helped us loads during our stay, helping us organise taxis and with local recommendations.

Great place in a picturesque area on the top of the hill. Relaxing and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can also find nice cafes and shops down the hill within 10 min hike. Hosts are always ready to answer your questions and even organise a pick up. I'll definitely come back

Fibre Internet - Cosy House - Forest, Temple, Café

NiklasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I spent a bit over a month at this wonderful jungle bungalow mainly to do some remote work. It is around 6km from the town center - so renting a scooter or bicylcle is almost necessary. I ended up renting a bicycle for the entire month and loved exploring Chiang Dao with it. The cottage itself is equipped with everything you need and has a nice outside terrace and garden with fruit trees (I got to harves some bananas). It was the beginning of the rainy season (May) and there were lots of mosquitos, but that might be different during other parts of the year. The communication with William and co during my stay was excellent, they were very responsive and helpful every time I had a question. Overall, I can highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for something a bit off grid and enjoy cooking your own meals etc.

Quiet and cozy house. Lots of space. The living and working area is big and comfortable. Away from the main road and the noise. With a scooter, everything is accessible within 5 to 10 min. Was exactly what I wanted. Host super responsive and friendly.

Chiangmai Gem: Uphill Cabin near Local Village

VivianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a beautiful stay this was, located in a quite remote and high up mountain area. The resort itself was beautiful, the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The drive up to the place is a stunning off-road drive through the jungle. However, be prepared for high transportation costs—around $120 USD per round trip—as only specific taxis can handle the difficult road. We ended up paying an additional $350 in USD just to get in and out of the resort. It’s best to stay put once you arrive. The food was great, though restaurant hours were limited (closing by 8 PM), which made it hard to eat after late excursions. Our room had a lovely view, but wasn’t fully sealed, so bugs were an issue at night. Overall, a wonderful experience for those seeking a quiet mountain escape—just plan ahead for logistics and be prepared for additional costs and timing getting in and out.

Cozy Cabin w/ Breathtaking View! B

JasonRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A peaceful mountain retreat like no other 🌿 If you're looking to escape the noise and disconnect from the chaos, this cabin is exactly what you need. Nestled at nearly 1,100 meters above sea level, on a quiet mountain ridge and surrounded by lush forest, the air is fresh, the views are breathtaking, and the serenity is priceless. It’s the perfect hideaway for remote work, reading a good book, deep conversations with loved ones, or simply enjoying nature in silence. The cabin is well-equipped with a BBQ pit, kitchen cutlery, and other essentials for a comfortable stay. You can also order food from nearby restaurants, but note that they don’t always deliver or operate all day, so plan ahead or bring your own. Do keep in mind: the cabin is located in the middle of nature, so you may encounter small insects or harmless forest critters — it’s all part of the charm of staying in the wild. If solitude, stillness, and fresh air are what you’re after, this place is a true hidden gem.
