Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cherbourg-Octeville

Very good stay in La petite maison du Fay: clean and pleasant, nice garden, the children really enjoyed the many colouring books, games available. The central location is perfect for exploring the west and east coast.

This beautiful house is highly recommended. First of all, due to the beautiful location with beautiful views on two floors (living room and bedroom) that you can't get enough of. But especially because of the peace and quiet, while all the comforts such as supermarkets and restaurants are a 5-minute drive away. However, the most important thing was the hospitality: Anne-Francoise and Adeline made for an unforgettable experience! Ps note: there is no television. The internet is also not really fast. For us, no problem at all.

The gite is in a beautiful remote setting. The house is spotlessly clean. It has been renovated and decorated beautifully and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. It is possible to walk to Quettehou, the nearest town. There is a supermarket just outside Quettehou, just a five minute drive away. There are nice restaurants in Saint Vaast la Hougue and in Barfleur, a short drive away. Would recommend tor a quiet relaxed getaway.

Super accommodation ... beautiful house ... great layout ... with the kitchen/diner and sitting room in one big room on the middle floor the Estuary views whilst eating or relaxing are quite wonderful !

Florence's apartment is arranged on two levels in a detached house with a garden. The house is very easy to access and has an internal courtyard for the parking space. The view of the garden is delightful. The apartment is equipped with every comfort and we found it very bright and clean. Florence and Carole are lovely hosts. My wife, my children and I had a very pleasant time at the Refuge. It's a beautiful house, very well decorated, very clean. The bedding is great. And having a Nordic bath and a sauna is really very nice. Last thing: 5/5 for the responsiveness and kindness of the host. I would highly recommend it!

Manon is an attentive, available and flexible host. The place was clean and very well equipped. If you want to have a pleasant and peaceful time, this is exactly what you need.

Our group of 7 50 something men really enjoyed our 5 day stay in Normandy. Charlotte met us on arrival and showed us around the extensive house and facilities. The house was great with a well equipped kitchen, great covered and heated pool, tennis court and more. We didn't manage to make use of the bikes or canoes that were also at our disposal. Bedrooms were clean with good beds. My only criticisms would be that there was only seating for 5 in the living room, toilets did not have basins, and the directions were not great - a what.3.words location would have been really helpful. Overall, it was a great place to stay and one of our group plans to return with their family later in the year.

Everything went very well as usual when we come to Carteret, which we love for its calm and the beauty of its landscapes. We really enjoyed the apartment, very nice, convenient, nicely furnished and decorated. A stone's throw from the dunes and close to the beaches, it is a small peaceful cocoon conducive to disconnection. As per the photos and descriptions, we can only be satisfied with our stay. Barfleur is a pretty little port. Beautiful hikes to do nearby. Above all, thank you to Didier for his welcome and for his welcome gestures: hot coffee on arrival, an excellent bottle of cider and a bag of cookies. Here's a host and a place to recommend. J-L

Apartment as advertised and warm reception by the owners. Plenty of tourist documentation in the living room. We are delighted with our stay in Cherbourg where despite the superb umbrellas, it did not rain!

Great accommodation, nice, beautiful terrace, very functional house. There were six of us and we had a great weekend. Thanks to Stephanie for her welcome and the house is super well located at 2, rue de la mer, there were no surprises. The photos match the house well and if I go back there, I will try to get the same house again, I recommend it.

Villa ideal for a family vacation. Decorated and arranged for visitors with great care. Also very clean. There are plenty of nearby activities and places to visit. We are delighted with our stay.

We loved this stay at Mathieu's, who is very attentive. We followed his restaurant recommendations, great! The setting is incredible, absolute calm and a view! The nearby beach is fine sand and very little used. Bakery 5 min by car, as well as a small super u, very convenient. Mathieu's house is very beautifully decorated, from scratch, plants everywhere and a perfect mix of modernity and authentic (wood, parquet flooring). We had rather pleasant weather and when it was raining we were able to do some indoor visits or enjoy the cocooning lounge and hot tub. Thanks to Mathieu for his availability and kindness. We'll be happy to go back!

A very nice villa on a beautiful spot for a short week of relaxation during the holidays. In a few words, the villa is ideally located on the dune at the end of Barneville-Plage, facing the sea with a view from the Carteret lighthouse at the end of the beach to Portbail. Top! The decor and living spaces are as in the photos, for the better...with of course all the necessary amenities. Special mention for high-end kitchen and appliances. A master's suite on the very cozy floor and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Communication with Caroline and Thierry, before arrival, during the stay and at the time of departure was very clear, friendly and caring. So it was a perfect stay at this lovely beach house, ideal for spending a few days with family or friends. I can only highly recommend this spot for those wishing to take an iodized break in Barneville Carteret. It was perfect. Thank you 🙏

Excellent stay, the house is extremely nice and comfortable. We travelled as a family of 10 with teenagers. The jacuzzi is very nice on the terrace, a problem with the jacuzzi, resolved very quickly by the host. The house is as well equipped as you can be at home, coffee maker, pots, cutlery and other utensils and very rare but the host has large pots for large tables.
