Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Charmey, Val-de-Charmey

I'm happy to have discovered this quiet oasis in the Vallamand vineyards. Naomi and Romain were there when I needed them but left enough privacy even though they live in the same house. The interaction was very pleasant. The studio is a perfect place for singles with a need for peace and quiet as well as for couples to experience a change of scenery while enjoying the most beautiful view of Lake Murten and the vineyard landscape. The patio is like in another world, the decor is simple but very atmospheric. A Denner is easily accessible nearby via a walk. I would love to come back another time because I feel like I'm born again after the stay. Thank you Naomi and Romain for the wonderful stay!

We loved the place ! We used it as our base to explore Switzerland with a eurail train pass, did day trips to Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Lauterbrunnen, Thun, Interlaken and Bern. Walkable distance from the train station, also a beautiful walk in a pretty village circled by mountains. The place was squeaky clean and had everything we needed. Very friendly host, was responsive and gave clear instructions. We even had a binder explaining how to use the ameneties and with local recommandations. Would go back if I was to travel to Switzerland again !

The accommodation was ideal for my short break in the Gruyère area. My questions and concerns were always answered in brief. A big compliment for this hospitality. The price-performance ratio is very good and my expectations were exceeded.

We were there with the family and the grandmother. The house offers enough space for everyone :) The location is awesome; in 2 minutes at the lake (via the meadow). Large terrace with morning sun! We travelled by public transport. That's possible, the bus runs every hour in both directions. Without luggage, the station can be reached in 20 minutes, with luggage it is more like 30 minutes.

We used the chalet for a family stay. It was a great experience to be able to live in such an old and yet modernly equipped house. Perfect if you have your bike with you, you can quickly get to Charmey or the mountains. I would come back here and enjoy the time. Thank you for everything, it was great.

A big thank you to Chantal for her hospitality and this superb accommodation! It was our first trip with a child, and everything was perfectly suited for the three of us. Many toys and books are available for the enjoyment of the little ones, which allowed us to spend a weekend out of time. The accommodation also has many amenities for children of all ages (high chair, booster...), which is really nice. The house is ideally located, less than 10 minutes' drive from the centre of Gruyères and its castle. You will find a host of guides and ideas for outings suitable for children; a real plus for families. The accommodation is impeccably clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the spacious kitchen makes it easy to cook throughout the stay. All in a quiet setting, with a magnificent view of the mountains. A lockbox allows you to be flexible on arrival and departure times.

Beautiful slice of heaven! Sophie and André are very friendly and will be able to advise and help you make your stay perfect. Don't miss the fresh bread and delicious specialties prepared in the property's wonderful bakery every Friday! An unforgettable experience. A big thank you to our hosts for lending us a lot of games to the delight of our two little boys! On a practical level, the place is accessible by public transport but for more flexibility I would recommend going there by car. The apartment was extremely clean and we found all the supplies we needed! From the kitchen to the bathroom Sophie and André thought of everything! You can book without a second thought!

We spent four days in this apartment. Very well located accommodation (close to shops, hiking, etc.) quiet and with a nice view. Everything was perfect: clean accommodation, very easy self check-in, impeccable amenities (bedding, kitchen...). Aurelia was very responsive and advised us very well. Thank you for the little surprise on arrival. We'll be back for sure!

Staying and Maria’s home was wonderful! The views are spectacular and the balcony is quite wide, providing lots of outdoor living space. The apartment is quite spacious and was kept in very good condition. Maria gave very clear instructions for check in and check out which made the process very smooth.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit is clean and comfortable for our family of five (one infant). It has a separate entrance for guests and dedicated parking space. Kitchen is complete with all the appliances & utensils. Elisabeth was super nice and friendly. She brought our kids to see the animals and they love it. She provided some groceries n chocolate and she even baked bread for us. hopefully we have the opportunity to stay here again.

This cabin exceeded our expectations!! Surrounded by beautiful landscapes in the middle of mountains, meadows, river and a spectacular view, just looking out the window is like having a painting in front of us. In addition, the cabin is equipped with everything needed for 4 people, a beautiful kitchen, dining room, living room, comfortable bathroom... The location was perfect, as we wanted a place nestled in the mountains to be at an intermediate point (not so close or so far, we went by car) of our places of interest, such as Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald... We also spent a day and we went up that same road by car, we left it at a point and walked along a signposted road to climb the mountain and touch the snow, it was a wonderful experience. If you don't have your own car, buses also pass near the house, you can ask for timetables. Nicolai was always attentive to messages and Rosa, Rosa, her mother, a spectacular woman, marked our 100% ❤️ recommendation

Loved this condo. It was spotless, easy to find and the location was excellent. It was not in the middle of town with the crowds, yet easily walkable. Loved the peace and quiet and the views were amazing. A view of Staubbach falls right in front of the kitchen windows and at night the falls are lit up and look magical. The snow capped Mountain View’s of Breithorn mountain from the deck and literally from the sofa as you are watching tv, were awe inspiring. Comfy furniture and bed and a well equipped kitchen. Lisa was great with recommendations and super responsive.

In line with what was advertised. Possibility of using the garage and the very beautiful setting.

Beautiful home in a beautiful place. I highly recommend going there with the intent to stay there. Going up and down the mountain to explore is exhausting

Lovely farm in a very quiet neighborhood. My kids enjoyed a lot the experience of the farm, the animals, and the surroundings. It was a perfect stay for anyone that wanna visit the region. We were going around Gruyere, Bern and Fribourg.
