Waterfront holiday rentals in Charles County

So very peaceful. Loved watching the birds fly off an on to the neighboring pier. Fit our needs perfectly and with the well stocked kitchen we were able to prepare our Thanksgiving meal.

Driving back from the funeral of a favorite Uncle and dealing with family drama my soul was craving peace, comfort and a respite from everything for a bit. I found that respite in this Air BnB. The river view was blissful and everything was as described, no hassle and no surprises. Here are some things that I hope the reader finds helpful. 1) You can get the keys from the back porch entrance but bring your luggage up thru the carport door or the front don't try to bring your luggage up that spiral staircase. 2) Bring any silverware you may need and a coffee stirrer 3) The device to the side of the bed IS NOT THE AC CONTROL, lol it is the sleep number bed remote. Check that both sides are set to the same setting before getting into bed. Fun fact: Another guest must have thought it would be funny to switch one side on high and the other side on low. The bed sags on one side if you do that. It was so peaceful, I loved it. She couldn't have been more sweet and delightful.

Just returned from a wonderful restful stay! Melanie is a wonderful host and made sure we had an amazing time! We asked about kitchen items and she went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to make a nice meal on our first night after a long drive! We enjoyed kayaking from her private dock and she was very responsive and friendly! This is our second stay and won’t be our last! Thank you!

Brittany’s waterfront home in Colonial Beach was a beautiful and peaceful retreat for me, my husband, and our 2 year old son. The space is beautiful and clean and offers lovely views of the sparkling water and beach just steps from the front door. We loved having beach days and visiting the pool, and nearby restaurants made it easy to grab lunch and dinner after a busy day in the sun. The in-unit washer and dryer made it easy to clean our swimsuits and stay on top of laundry, and the fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The porch also provides a nice space to take in the views and the sounds of waves crashing in a private and peaceful retreat. We loved visiting Colonial Beach and would happily stay at Brittany’s home again!

Was such a beautiful experience. Such an amazing place worth the stay! The kayaks and canoes were so much fun. Very clear instructions a binder full of instructions and very clear. Also in the binder has lots of cool things to do around the area 10/10 it was amazing!!!

We had an excellent time staying here. It was the perfect size and location for our weekend and the house is beautiful.

An incredible peace of property! This house has been beautifully renovated and exceeded every expectation. Unbelievable waterfront views from nearly every room in the house, back porch and fire pit. Also a very nice surprise of having a little play area stocked with toys for the little ones! This is a must stay if we’re ever back in the area!

Enhanced up-to-date old school Chesapeake Bay waterfront vacation. Serene beautiful surroundings, fishing, crabbing, lounging, birding, napping on large screened in porch. Coffee on porch in morning watching crabbers work their lines. Osprey, Mallards, Brown Thrashers, Blue Birds, Bald eagles, Mocking birds, and a Whip-poor-will. Great for walking my dog, friendly neighbors. Fantastic sunsets, nearby wedding venues, comfortable beds, good air-conditioning. Everything worked and was clean. Good for families, girlfriend get aways, and a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. Loved the fenced in yard, wished we had time to use the firepit, picnic table, TV/Mancave/Movie room and Tiki Bar! Hope to come back again. Thank you Matt and Jenn

I want to gate-keep this house so much!! If you are looking for a great house to hangout relax on the dock with a glass of wine eating crab chips then this is the place for you! We didn’t want to leave. Her home is beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable and the perfect spot for basically any size group. We kayaked, we road bikes, we made s’mores, we fished, we ate crabs at Capt John’s it was the perfect Cobb island adventure. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay! So many deer and turkeys to watch. Thoroughly enjoyed it once again!

This house and the amenities are amazing. It was perfect for our family reunion with 5 couples. Enough room for everyone to have space. My favorite part was gathering around the round dinner table with the 10 of us. We also took the kayaks out and up Mattox creek for a wonderful morning of a peaceful paddle. The Lodge was perfect for my husband and I to step away from the group and have some privacy. I highly recommend!!
