The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Château Tower in Heart of Loire Valley

The tower is completely self-contained and its pretty, covered balcony offers breathtaking views over the château's truffle orchard. Internally it is full of character with a circular, beamed bedroom and roll top bath on the top floor and a sitting room below. There is no formal kitchen so this is a place for foodies wanting to experience local French food by eating out

The cottage is arranged as a studio, with a large living room, kitchen area and separate bathroom. The toilet is in the bathroom. Everything is on one level and overlooks the garden. A stone's throw from the accommodation, we will welcome you to our shop for a guided tour and a tasting of our Crémants de Loire and our wines. A bike deposit is also available (€10 per day). Saumur city center is a 5-minute drive from the property.
