I had a wonderful stay at this villa! The views were absolutely stunning—waking up to that scenery every day was a real treat. The overall ambiance was calm, cozy, and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Both the indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and beautifully maintained, offering plenty of room to unwind, dine, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A special shoutout to the chef Ranga who was fantastic and prepared delicious hotel-style meals that made the experience feel even more luxurious. it was a truly memorable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with great service and stunning views.

We loved the lodge, indoor-outdoor living in nature, such a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, the pool was refreshing and the staff were nice. The night was full of fireflies when we were there and the sounds of the jungle. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

A great host and a great place to stay, high up in the mountains. Ajith is very helpful and accommodating, he has fulfilled every wish for us and very supported in organizing our onward journey. His staff were also very kind. We were even allowed to do our laundry in the washing machine and the grilled fish was extremely delicious. Thank you Ajith for the great time high in the mountains 🙏

We had a great stay at Makahouse. The photos don’t do it justice- the place is huge with breathtaking views and lush greenery around. The caretaker looked after us very well and the food was superb! The pool was very refreshing after a day of exploration in Kandy. The communication with the host was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and stay myself with pleasure!

As we had booked all four chalets, the host Dilum kindly provided the use of the villa at the end of drive. This was a significant and wonderful surprise. The villa was very spacious and was over and above our expectations. We enjoyed this space greatly and we were looked after brilliantly by Morgan. The breakfasts were tasty and always on time and more than we could eat everyday. Morgan also joined in with our impromptu cricket matches 🤩🫶 The space was private and luxurious and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking something similar while exploring Dambulla and the surrounding tourist sites. We would definitely go there again 🙌🥰

This is a nice property in a great location. The house is a traditional one with thick walls and tiled roof. Lovely view from the garden! The hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive. They even kindly allowed us to checkin early. My wife and I spent couple of nights here with our two dogs. We had a lovely time enjoying the golden and blue hours from the garden. The two waterfalls which are just a few minutes drive from the property are wonderful and well worth the visit.

Dimuthu was a great host. The moment we enter the place he gave us a small tour and took us to a private waterfall next to the house. He was kind enough to show us around, recommend restaurants and tuk drivers. His family was always nice and we even got some food one day, really friendly people. The house itself looks like the pictures, it is really spacious, there’s a fish tank!, it’s a really peaceful place to stay. My favourite part was the privacy of the place, just accompanied by puppies, monkeys and fireflies. It was a pleasant stay and Dimuthu was a great host.

Rohana was extremely helpful and responsive. The house is at a very convenient distance to all of central Kandy and it's locations. The neighborhood is extremely safe and walking distance from stores and quite a few restaurants. The caretaker Gihan was very polite and gracious. He offered to pick us up and drop us at the railway station. The views from the residence are serene and cover a large section of the Kandy Valley. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking to spend a few days in Kandy. We loved our stay.

A feel of comfortably lived-in, authentic Sri-Lankan home - Felt like it used to feel when staying with family, years ago. Bed rooms were comfortable and linen was clean. We had plenty of space in the dinning, kitchen and living areas for our small group. A cool breeze blows into the house in the afternoon and early evening. The golden light of the setting sun filters through the front windows. Just sitting on a chair on the porch is tranquil. By far the best part, was the wonderfully warm and welcoming housekeeper, Ms. Pushpa who was there daily, who not only shopped for our groceries each morning fresh from market, but also prepared delicious Sri-Lankan style meals to our specifications daily. A memorable stay and hope to be back!

This is a 147 year old bungalow, and the stay was simply fantastic. We loved everything about the house and the host was fantastic to stay awake late in the night to welcome us after a tiring day for us. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Hashitha was a perfect host. Check in was quick and professional, but also personable. My host was in easy reach, if needed, but I was allowed my privacy. The whole experience was brilliantly enhanced, by being able to sit on the veranda and take in the fabulous gardens. All in all an experience to hold fond memories of.

My family and I loved staying at sunsky cottage, the hosts were absolutely lovely and accommodating. The home itself is beautiful with serene views and stunning home design. Dumith and his wife were responsive when it came to any issues, and very sweet when we asked about recommendations. The home itself is a little further away from the centre, around 30 minutes. However there are a couple of good spots nearby to eat.

I had a very positive stay at this property! The house was exceptionally clean, tidy, and beautifully modern equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The host was fantastic very responsive, respectful, and clearly committed to providing a great experience. The location was also convenient, with Uber and restaurants nearby. Overall, a well-maintained and welcoming place. I would definitely recommend it to others and would be happy to stay again!

Our stay at Vivian's was great. The property is actually much more beautiful in person than in the photos. Very cosy and clean house, well decorated. Suri the caretaker was excellent and very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend Vivien's retreat!

Clarence's place is just wonderful! It is very spacious, airy, light, comfy and beautiful. All our family enjoyed staying at Clarence. He is a great host, always responding quick and making the best to please his guests. The other members of Clarence's family must be mentioned too. They all are very polite, friendly and hospitable. The balcony, which better be called a terrace, is huge and the view is stunning. Everything is great, highly recommended for families and people who prefer tranquility over a busy city. To call a taxi we used "pick me" app. It is very cheap and useful.

Great stay for the night! Little bit deep inside but with the instructions given it was easy to find. Washrooms were renovated and clean. Great communication and response by host for any concerns or questions we had

will stay again, separate house 3 levels! Has a lot of things for kitchen and cooking. has veranda views but no patio furniture to enjoy your cup of coffee with view from balcony. if you have many heavy bags can be a challenge to carry up narow stairs. Need some better instructions how to use water heater, also would be helpful if microwave was connected to outlet. place is very spacious, you can go upto 3rd floor. cameras for security. Not much things to do in the walking area, neighbours can be noisy but didnt bother me. easy communication and someone there to help close by. Great value, come with family

The place is good. The rooms are clean. It has only one toilet though. Otherwise it's a good place to stay. I completely recommend it if you're okay with the single toilet.
