Blue Bird Toucan Cabin

KarinaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A Truly Magical Experience in Bacalar 🌿💙 This isn’t my first time staying here, and I absolutely love it. Bacalar is a beautiful little town officially recognized as a Pueblo Mágico—a designation given to places in Mexico that preserve their cultural richness, natural beauty, and charm. That also means you won’t find big resorts here, and honestly, that’s exactly how it should be. It’s all about preserving the lagoon and respecting the ecosystem. This place truly is magical, and absolutely worth the cost. Just renting a kayak elsewhere in Bacalar can cost around 600 pesos for a few hours—here, you get so much more. I’ve seen some reviews mention a lack of hot water or low water pressure... but seriously, what do you expect? You’re surrounded by nature! These cabins are thoughtfully designed to provide comfort while staying in harmony with the environment. And yes, there is hot water—plenty of it! The toilet works just fine, and the AC works too.

Casa Vive Bacalar King Bed-Balcony

A beautiful place! One of the most beautiful Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. I recommend it 1000%. It's a delightful tranquility, a little piece of heaven. The rooms are beautiful and the bed is so comfortable that you might not wake up from how comfortable you feel. Luis is an incredible human being, David is super helpful. The restaurant is delicious, everything I tried. I felt right at home and I will definitely return with my family every time I go there. I won't look any further, I've found the best place in Bacalar. Thank you for such a beautiful and comfortable stay.

Apartment with pool + 1 day free at Cenote Azul

JorgeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I really liked Emma's apartment because of the coziness. You can see the attention to detail to make the guest feel comfortable. It has the basic tools to cook, plus they provide water, salt, sugar, cooking oil, bean coffee; which doesn't happen in many accommodations. I also liked that it has a private garage and pool. The downside is that it is far from the village and shops. If you're going by car, it's no problem as it's 10 minutes to downtown by car.

Casitas Nohiyari: Kutz 2

We really enjoyed our stay here. The architecture was stunning—minimalist, thoughtful, and well-executed. From the outdoor shower (which was private and part of the room design) to the clean, modern space. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made all the difference during the hot afternoons. The location is also very good. You can walk to the center of town, and if the heat is too much, a cab anywhere in Bacalar was about 50 pesos. It’s a great spot for couples, and anyone with an appreciation for design will be especially impressed—I wish I knew who the architect was so I could follow their work. A big thank you to Bernie and the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and made our stay smooth and pleasant from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Casa Lucia - Villa Rooftop

TaniaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It is a beautiful villa at the foot of the lagoon and with incredible views. Every detail of the villa is seen to have been thought out and cared for. I recommend it if you want to rest and enjoy the villa and its amenities. Everything is very clean and the caretakers are very attentive. It is about 12 minutes by car from the center, I recommend that you arrive by car so that you can move easily if you need to buy something or go out to eat. Access to the villa is by a dirt road (we arrived very late and it was a little difficult to locate it because there is no signage). It is important to consider that you share space with 2 other villas that are in the same place. We definitely hope to return soon!
