This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

Lamia Matera 11

Located at the entrance of the Sassi and 500 meters from the central square, Lamia Matera 11 boasts a very impressive view of the Matera ravine. The original building (lamia) with the characteristic barrel vault has been recently renovated. The house is spread across 3 floors. There are two elegant double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, and stunning views. A room with 2 single beds, which can be joined together, is located on the lower floor, entirely carved into the rock.

Equipped with all the essentials plus a large kitchen, two spacious and independent bedrooms and a beautiful private outdoor atrium with barbecue area. Located on a family farm with fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables available daily. Locally produced olive oil, wine and sangria. Host has various Apulian experiences on offer upon request.
