“As an Airbnb super host, myself, I take a keen interest in places I stay. Chris and Calla’s Place is a smartly appointed bungalow, with all the amenities one would expect in a private residence. Plentiful towels, shampoo, quality kitchen utensils. So after a day of hard kayaking, a little bit of luxury and cold a/c took the sting out of sore muscles. But back to the river......in the front yard we enjoyed scarlet tanagers and painted buntings and more. On the river were herons, killdeer and, we think..., osprey? Butterflies galore and a type of dragonfly we’ve never seen before, Oh, and the wildflowers...it’s really a super alive and vibrant piece of ecology.”
Enjoy a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Serene, private, pure country living just 5 minutes to downtown Llano.
“Really nice property and room. Enough supplies in kitchen to make a meal, but bring your own condiments, seasonings, oils, etc. If you want to unplug/disconnect, it’s good. My AT&T signal was pretty weak there, but could have been because of the metal building. Only really mattered when I needed to do some computer work. Tracee was very easy and quick to communicate with. Sunsets and sunrises in the Hill Country are hard to beat, and this place is a nice one to enjoy them from.”
Beautiful Llano River Front cabin. Located near historic Castell TX. This is a custom built cabin. Features custom walk in shower, full kitchen and bath, all hand made with old world charm, all the comforts of home in a charming special place. The front porch is covered and looks out over the river where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evenings. The property is private with large ranches surrounding and great river front access. This is a true gem on the Llano River.
“In chatting with Patrick, he let us know that when it came to the cabin and ranch, he liked to underpromise and overdeliver. Boy was that the case! The pictures that Patrick and Rachel have online really don't do the cabin justice. We spent an excellent 4 nights in this very tastefully designed and decorated, well-built, and roomy cabin overlooking the Llano.River. We biked, kayaked, swam, sat around the firepit and made s'mores, grilled and just hung out and unwound from the stresses of everyday life. The deck in the front of the cabin was an awesome place to sit around, chat, watch an amazing thunderstorm and just pass the time. We could not have anticipated nor have asked for such an awesome few days. By the end we were begging Pat and Rachel to let us live on the property. Sadly more guests were coming and we had to come home. Pat and Rachel have an amazing little gem on the Llano River. We are definitely coming back! Thanks for being such amazing hosts!”
