Holiday houses in Cascada El Chiflón

We had a wonderful 2-night stay with Luis and his family. My daughter loved the swing set and toys and wants to go back! Although there is no kitchen, don't be surprised if you are offered a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, or if food is shared with you freely. The room is quiet at night and we slept very well here. Internet works great for Zoom meetings, and you'll probably be offered a little office space that you can access anytime. Our first experience with hosts in Mexico, and it is one I would fully recommend, particularly to small families.

If you're looking for a quiet place to stay working online, this place is perfect. Frida is very quiet and friendly, privacy with her is absolute😬 The room is very spacious, bright, with good closet and bookshelf,the bed is very comfortable, there is a good table to work by the window, the internet is good and fast enough (between 6-8Mbps) to work online and video calls. The bathroom is equally very spacious, there is hot water and although it is not inside the room, it is very close to the room. From Frida's house you can walk everywhere, from the main square as well as to the boulevard where you find the combis that take you to all the things to visit around Comitán. Recommendations for eating in the Committee: - "Valuables of the like" Restaurant (test the bone🤤) - Pizzeria Sanse - Mercado 1o de Mayo (cheap and traditional breakfasts) - Mercado de San José (somewhat expensive but very varied with several sushi restaurants, pasta, Mexican food, burgers, etc and you can have coffee and cocktails) Thank you Frida😉

Super nice place. We would've loved to have had planned more time to stay and enjoy. We arrived later than expected which was no problem at all and the owner is very nice. We would recommend to spend 2-3 days at least to explore, quite close to the waterfalls (velo de novia, etc.)

Wow. This place is a little piece of heaven. There are sounds of running water throughout the place, so you feel instantly relaxed. It was great having a soothing background sound while sleeping. The property is run by a loving family, with the mother in the restaurant kitchen prepping fresh food throughout the week. When you walk down, at the bottom of the property is a turquoise flowing river / small cascading falls. The view is refreshing and a great place to relax and do some yoga. The food at the restaurant is homemade comfort food. It was a perfect place for my dog and I to relax and explore all the local attractions. You're within 30 - 40 minutes drive to El Chiflon, Koila and Cenote Chucumaltik. If you're a couple, family, or just a solo traveler, this hospitable family run paradise is one of the best stays you will have.

We absolutely loved staying at Hugo’s place - so much so that we extended by 2 days. The apartment is comfortable and cosy, and they have a beautiful garden you can relax in if you’d like. The kitchen has a microwave and filtered water, and a fridge if you need to keep fruit/breakfast. But the main attraction is Hugo! He’s so kind, going out of his way to ensure you have a good time. Thanks so much Hugo and family!
