Katies guesthouse is the perfect say! I also very much appreciate the fact that she was able to accept my reservation the day before we were to arrive. She even opened the sleeper for us as we had a long drive! It is clean and comfortable with the most beautiful garden to relax in weather you are having breakfast or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. It is very private yet close to stores, shops, parks or anything you need. The neighborhood is very walkable but just mind the up hills if you aren't used to the elevation. The kitchen is well stocked with updated appliances and several pantry items. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and when we return to San Diego, I will plan my visit based on the availability of Katie's house!

This was my first trip to La Mesa. Location was very near downtown, which had great food options and sweet little shops. Easily walkable. Also close to a couple of grocery stores and only 15 minute drive to San Diego. Rose was fantastic and obviously worked hard to make sure everything was clean and comfortable. She was a wealth of knowledge for fun things to do in San Diego. I slept well with primo pillows. All the essentials were provided and parking was secure. I appreciated the gas stove in the full kitchen, too.
