The most popular destinations of our land's artistic and cultural heritage such as Scicli, Modica, Ragusa Ibla are easily accessible. Broadening our horizon, the Donnalucata vacation home is a good starting point for excursions to the beautiful archaeological sites of Syracuse, on the eastern side, and the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento, on the western side. Running towards the interior of the island, other easy-to-reach destinations such as Piazza Armerina, with the famous Villa del Casale, or Caltagirone with its artistic ceramics. And then there's the sea, our sea, to be experienced all year round for those who practice windsurfing, kite surfing, canoeing or sailing, but also just for walking (the beaches are endless) or for an off-season swim! Donnalucata vacation home is a family villa, it is inhabited on the first floor all year round by my sister who lives there with her family and three dogs enjoying the sunsets, the sea and the mild temperatures of our winter. An ancient rock house perched on the rock walls of San Matteo hill, renovated and expanded to create a refuge from time, where you can forget about the outside world and immerse yourself in the memory and history of the place. Casa Corto Maltese has a shady and private fenced secret garden with 2 ancient caves and a terrace facing the entrance from which you can overlook the entire Scicli. The novel "The Stone Raven" by Marco Steiner was inspired by the rocky walls of this house.
