The accommodation was beautiful in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also thought the private parking was great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. We had a great stay at this place! The location is ideal – just outside the city center, but easily accessible with a nice (but very steep) 30 minute walk. In the immediate vicinity there is a well-stocked supermarket and a great fruit and vegetable shop where you can shop at local prices – quite unlike the overpriced prices in the market hall of Funchal. There is also one of the best bakeries in the city nearby – a real highlight! The property itself is top equipped, clean and offers stunning views over the harbor and parts of the city with its terrace. Throughout the day you can enjoy sun, including fantastic evening sun. A perfect place to relax – we'd love to come back!

Prefect apartment in a wonderful location. Lots of great restaurants walkable and great location to visit all areas of the island. Gabriele was very helpful and responsive and even met us at 5:30am for check out

It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Everything was great! The communication went smoothly. The location is ideal. From there, you can get everywhere easily and there is a shopping centre with a supermarket directly across the street. Thanks !

Manny and his son met us in the evening to welcome us to the apartment and run through the equipment and everything that we might need over our stay. The apartment was a ' breath of fresh air'...quiet and cool with the fantastic balcony....but less than 2 minutes to all the places of interest shops bars etc .. Ir was my first Airbnb abroad and others will have a lot to live up to! Manny checked in...but gave us privacy and the chance to unwind...canm0t recommended it too highly!

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

Miguel’s place was perfect! The apartment looks exactly like the photos. It was clean and well equipped. The view is unbeatable, and the outdoor space was such a nice addition. Miguel is incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. I highly recommend staying at his place!

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

We (two couples) had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The house is a little more spacious than we thought. Nice view. Lovely swimming pool. On this slope, clouds sometimes prevented the sun from showing itself. You have to take the car to get to restaurants. Hosts always responded quickly to a message from us. All in all recommended!

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

We really enjoyed the accommodation! (family of 6 people) This one is well located, a beautiful view, very peaceful and private place. It is very well equipped, heated pool (for €30/day), barbecue available, very spacious and clean. Which makes it a great value. We recommend it!

A beautiful home and large enough for 6 people. Very clean and well equipped. 3 bathrooms! Parking is difficult, but with the video instructions it works, unless you have a very large car. We highly recommend this house if you like a quiet environment. Beautiful view. And a jacuzzi!!!

An absolutely stunning space. Janine was incredibly helpful and proactive with setting us up with detailed instructions on how to access everything along with local recommendations. The location was perfect and the space had everything we needed to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic after the days hikes. Truly a dream airbnb for peace, tranquility, and amazing beauty. We cant rave about this place enough. So grateful for its existence.

The lovely swimming pools on site were a fantastic bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip. We loved our week at Nuno's place! The apartment was lovely and bright, we loved to soak in the sun on the terrace. Nuno is very caring host :) Madeira's air is wonderful, and with the terrace door open, the apartment was always filled with fresh air- so good to sleep like that. The terrace is not too windy as well! Just the perfect breeze blowing by. Definitely would recommend the apartment!

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

We stayed for a week with 4 people in a very nice apartment. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ideal for 2 couples. We highly recommend this clean and tastefully decorated accommodation. Flawless apartment, very clean and as described. The terrace is simply magnificent, with a beautiful view. Everything is well arranged, you feel comfortable right away. We are delighted with our stay – a real pleasure from start to finish!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was beautiful and we loved being able to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves. The apartment had everything we needed and was a perfect home base. The host checked us in and walked us through the apartment to show us how things worked which was great. The location was not super walkable to restaurants and such for my parents due to the steep hills, but it wasn't an issue for us and the beach path was great to walk in the evenings. Definitely recommend.
