Casa Xun

Great place. Jacqueline is a great communicator. There is hot water in the shower. It's a long walk from the main road, so if you aren't driving it is a bit out of the way. Otherwise, fantastic accommodation

1BR Riverfront 3rd-Floor | Balcony | Pool

TiffanyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very cute & private feel. Right on the edge of a beautiful river. It has a very bed & breakfast feel to it. They only cook to order & take your breakfast/dinner orders in advance. We were immediately greeted with friendly staff and were served dinner by the pool the first night we arrived. There was only one other couple staying there at the time and we felt as though we had the place to ourselves and accommodations were customized. Lovely little place to stay just a short distance outside of San Ignacio. The riverfront property is a pubic river access but it was never crowded or loud. The access is only used during the day for the public.

Hummingbird Rest for a 'Jungle Experience' in Town

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Peter and family were awesome. Friendly and accommodating. Kayleigh's (sp?) cat sanctuary was cool. Kitchen worked great and had all the necessary tools. There was an abundance of wildlife in the area that you can see just from looking out the windows. We even caught a ride with Peter to the local market and the Amish supermarket. He also had great recommendations for outings. The bed was comfortable. Be aware that the bathroom is small (the husband of us is over 6 feet tall and still made it work). Be aware of the time of year and the weather that you can tolerate. Taxis are easy, usually 6-8 BZD (for 2ppl) to get to the main part of town. Overall, a great place. We stayed 2 weeks and would stay again and recommend to others.

Dormitory on huge jungle property with Maya site

AntonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everything about this place makes you feel right at home. The peaceful green environment, the spacious set-up of the compound with diverse facilities, and above all the warm welcome by Maddy & co (I highly recommend her breakfast!). She is running the place with great passion for the country and its nature, history and tradition - and they even provide free access to their very own Maya temple ruins on-site, complete with an audio tour and other amazing jungle trails. Will definitely come back when I get the chance for a longer stay!

Nabitunich Resort - Wooden Cabin with a view

NinaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
What a wonderful place! I can't say enough great things about San Lorenzo Farms. The cottages are quaint and comfy. We stayed in one with a little kitchenette that was stocked with everything you would need. The view from our cottage was amazing 🤩. The sunset could be seen sitting on a bench on a hilltop of an old covered Mayan Homesite. From here you can even see El Castillo of Xunatunich! Morning was magical, being able to see the misty rolling hillsides of the jungle. There's roosters crowing, as this bnb is located on a working farm that's been in the family for over 100 years! We even saw some toucans and some parrotlets. Dominic is an amazingly friendly host and a joy to get to know. We spoke about a bazillion interesting topics. Breakfast at the bnb was super delicious and very hearty. It definitely set us up for the rest of our days travels. Both my husband and I wished we could have stayed longer at this fabulous bnb!

Our stay was wonderful. The host was so friendly and accommodating. It was within walking distance of many great restaurants. We ate at Erva's at the hosts recommendation and it was delicious. We also visited the Iguana Conservation at the hosts recommendation and had an amazing time. If we ever find ourselves in San Ignacio again, we will definitely book again.

Iguana Roost Nature Retreat Close to Maya Ruins

HeatherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had an amazing time at the Iguana Roost in San Ignacio. The cabin was cozy, well-equipped, and a short walk to town. The hosts were very responsive and offered excellent local recommendations. A highlight was visiting the cat sanctuary next door, run by their daughter—such a fun and unique experience. Highly recommend!

Parrot Nest Treehousy Cabana (Gold Standard)

MadlenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Jungle, river, monkeys, birds, cuddly pets, sweet cabins, awesome food and Theo is just one of the best hosts ever - in short, our stay at parrot nest exceeded all expectations. Plus Theo was super helpful and recommend the best tour to ATM-Cave. Thanks for everything, Theo! Would always stay again when in San Ignacio :)
