Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Calhoun County

What a lovely home!! This house had everything we needed and then some. The area was so beautiful and quiet, bonfire under the stars was exactly what we were looking for!! Night recommend this place!! We decided to make this an annual girls weekend spot!

It’s a big old farm house! Great place in a very peaceful setting. We saw a lot of wildlife. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had what I needed for a little cooking. I thought the A/C worked great. It would be fun to stay with friends for a Wedding or even to go kayaking.

This is the third time we've stayed at Lori's place. Our family of 12, coming from Cleveland and Chicago, to spend time on the water and together. The kitchen is nice and big with plenty of cookware for gourmet meals. The 2 mile loop around the lake is quiet and a good route for running. There's lot of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh air.

We knew we had the right place when we walked in the door. It had great common areas and the basement had plenty of space for our large family group with lots of kids. They loved the pool table, games, toys and XBox. If it had been warmer, we would have definitely made use of kayaks, life jackets, and water toys. The area is beautiful and we appreciated the close access to the park. Being sandwiched between two lakes was an added bonus. The living areas were separated and behind multiple doors which helped keep noise down for the sleeping kids while others stayed up late to visit. Again, it’s great for families or larger groups. We also appreciated the simple check-in/out instructions and the responsiveness of our hosts. We definitely would recommend a stay here!

Checking into the house was great. We came to work in the area, but our plans changed after two days, and we needed to leave urgently. I contacted the owner of the house to request a refund since we rented it for 10 days. After explaining that this was an unusual situation, I was simply ignored and didn’t receive any response, even though I know how this works and that a refund could have been processed. When we returned a week later for work, we needed a place to stay for another night, so I decided to go back to the same house. However, upon arrival, I found that everything had been cleaned up and the house was just waiting for new guests. It all seemed fine, but the owner could have been more understanding, especially since the situation didn't drag on for long before we had to leave!

The location was beautiful! My family and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub the most. The outdoor kitchen was a great perk! And my little boys said petting the pups was the highlight of our trip! 😂

Wonderful place on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful. I went for a solo mountain biking trip and the apartment had everything I needed. The area offers so much beauty. I loved that there are mountain bike trails literally 5 minutes away from the apartment or 15 minutes for a more extensive network of trails. I loved kayaking and paddle boarding in the area on all the beautiful lakes and Thornapple River.  The apartment has everything for a short or extended stay. I loved utilizing the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning. Stacey is one of the quickest hosts to reply and very helpful. I would stay again. 

Great house and host. Our city kids and dogs loved the natural surroundings. Geese, ducks, frogs, and a turtle were all sighted. Dog run is fully fenced and connects directly to the house for easy in and out. Guest house is cute and private. Greta place to get away and chill.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Sally was a fantastic host — responsive and thoughtful. The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location is truly special — the gorgeous lake was the highlight, and we spent hours just sitting on the dock soaking up the sunshine. It’s also very kid-friendly, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Highly recommend this spot for families or anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, well-equipped setting.

Gerald and Yvonne made the Airbnb experience so stress free. The house is stunning, roomy, and has everything you need to be away from home. There are plenty of bedrooms. The back yard is huge and the fence gives you privacy. The pool is incredible! It’s pretty good sized and we were in it all day everyday. Anytime we needed to find something Gerald was always available and responsive. One of the best experiences i have had!

This is a great little apartment in a stunning historic neighborhood. It's walkable to area restaurants and shops.

Was in the area for work and found this Tiny house. Stay was very pleasant. It was myself and a coworker who brought their dog. No issues and will definitely stay again.

This beautiful Airbnb was quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. We truly enjoyed seeing various animals in their natural setting. The house was beautiful and spotless. It was comfortable and welcoming, allowing us to relax fully. Joe was very responsive and helpful, answering all our questions and making us feel at home. This stay was just what we needed during our busy move. In short, our stay was a perfect mix of peace, beauty, and great hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend it for anyone needing a peaceful break.

nice unique style of home. everything worked as it should. quiet neighborhood. I thought it was a wonderful place to stay. I was traveling with 3 of my sisters around 60 yrs old. They weren't as sold on the place as I was. They said it could use some new beds upstairs and better lighting. It did seem like there was a lot of. the lights that wouldn't turn on. maybe new bulbs or breaker tripped not sure. Wasn't a huge concern for me because it was summer and longer daylight hours. The place could use some work outside in the landscaping to bring the outdoor appearance up to a nicer level. All that said I would stay again anytime.

3rd stay at this location. Family lives nearby, and it makes it very convenient to all have dinner, or play family games. The location is very accommodating for the wife and I to be close to our kids, grandkids, and a few great grands. The location also provides a ringside seat to some awesome sunsets, out the west facing windows. I can't say enough about how much we enjoy staying at this location, and absolutely will do so again. Highly recommend if you need a place for a family to stay, or gather.

Remote, quiet location. Lots of space. Cute cows in the backyard!
