Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

Centrally located in Renfrew, only a quick walk to main street shopping, the Renfrew Fair Grounds, and local trail systems. This ground floor, one bedroom apartment features a kitchen, separate entrance, and driveway with parking for 1 vehicle. For an additional fee (and subject to availability), you can access the spa, sauna, and cold plunge pool. A lunchbox breakfast is included. Perfect for workers or tourists. We have 2 dogs and a cat (they do not have access to the studio). The studio is independent, yet attached to the house, and we ask visitors to maintain an appropriate noise level during their stay.

This rustic cottage has all your basic needs to enjoy a comfortable stay. Guests comment on beautiful sunsets and sun rises if they are early birds. Try Kayaking, canoeing. Kids love the freedom of exploring in the pedal boats. We have had nice catches right off the dock cat fish, small mouth bass and kids squeal when they catch sun fish and baby perch .

We are just 30 minutes from world class downhill skiing and whitewater rafting.
