Cabin holiday rentals in Burnside

We loved this place! Cute and quiet - a perfect unplugged weekend. It doesn’t have a TV, which we appreciated; the kiddos and us enjoyed board games, the record player, the hot tub & the fire pit. Would recommend and would def stay again, if planning a trip to Monticello.

We really enjoyed the stay at A Frame of Mind. This cottage with nice amenities is nestled in a very natural setting with large 100+ year old Oak trees. The view off the back deck into the woods is great as the sun rises in the morning. We were here in late May but the view is probably really special when the leaves are turning in the fall or even when they are gone over winter. We walked down to the boat ramp in the neighborhood and my sons loved taking photos of this peaceful cove of Lake Cumberland. On a boat we were literally 5 mins to Jamestown and State Dock marinas. All in all this was a great place in a great location. The hosts were very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. 5 stars all around!

Its a great place to stay. This cabin offers a serene retreat surrounded by nature, making it ideal for families or groups seeking relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

We planned this trip months in advance. Unfortunately a couple days before our trip a tornado went through the area. She immediately contacted us when she learned the power was out. We decided to go to the house and see if it had been restored but the power was still out. Megan went above and beyond to help us and was able to provide us another place to stay. We had a wheelchair bound family member with us so we were not easy to accommodate. We were not at this original location long but it was clean and as described. I know it would have been a great place to stay.

Amazing cabin with amazing views. Everything was clean and spotless. Our host, Sarah, was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. We had a little glitch with the entry code, but it was quickly resolved. It is a long winding road to the cabin, about 15 miles. Take your time and enjoy the view. I would suggest taking hwy 196 out of Nancy, your GPS might suggest a slightly different route, but 196 worked best for us. Be prepared for an amazing view as you reach Cave Springs Rd. WOW! Also, be sure to pick up your groceries before heading to the cabin. There is a small grocery store in Nancy, otherwise larger stores are available in Somerset, about 45 minutes from the cabin. If you want to do any walking, we would not suggest using the road by the cabin, it's a bit narrow with lots of twists and turns and no shoulders and could be a little dangerous. Save your walks for the numerous parks in and around the area. Overall we had a Great Time! Thank You Sarah! - Tom & Jan

Great place!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the cabin! The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful as well! Brandon went out of his way to ensure we were in the loop regarding potentially icy/weather and road conditions, and was very communicative and accommodating! We had a great experience and would definitely stay again!

Can’t recommend this place enough. My husband and I booked the little cabin in the Woods for two nights. We were in town for some local tractor pulls. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. It was so peaceful after all the noise and mud haha…I was able to disconnect from my phone. I ended up reading a book during my stay which I haven’t done in a while. Would definitely stay here if/when we return to the area.

If you enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors and a quiet setting,look no further. The host set out a large compliment of at homefeatures. Did you forget foul for the bbq. No worries, the cabin is a fully functional home as is. If quiet front porch sitting like us. This is your little slice of heaven. Btw there is train watching on the property.

This place was absolutely fantastic! Our family had an amazing time from start to finish. The property was super clean, which we really appreciated. What truly set this experience apart was how accommodating the host was for our very large group. Having a second location nearby was a brilliant solution that made sure everyone was incredibly comfortable. Overall, the experience was beyond what we were hoping for - a perfect stay and highly recommended!

Another great stay for our great nieces 8th Birthday! Everything was super clean, well stocked and had everything we needed plus more. Elsie is an awesome host that is super prompt in getting back to you. The stay is always pleasant and we feel at home! I can't wait for our next stay at Elsies place!

Had a blast with everything! Was very comfortable and felt like a real strong getaway location! Would most definitely recommend and go again, we never got bored and there wasn’t an end of thing to do! Overall great experience and had a wonderful trip, beautiful views!!

What a great place! Cozy, cute as a button! Wouldn’t recommend for anyone that has mobility issues due to the stairs to get upstairs to the bedrooms, but it was perfect for us and such a beautiful area. The dock was amazing as well as the balcony and the fire pit! Thanks for the great stay!

Perfect cabin for a few days on the lake.. had everything we need and then some… nice circle driveway for traveling with a boat and jet ski! Very clean and decorated so cute… Caleb was a great host!

We visit family a few times a year and this may be our new favorite place. Clean, inviting, comfortable living room furniture and close to everything we needed. Even with a shared wall we did not hear the neighbors.

This is our 5th years to stay here and it’s great as always. Fantastic hosts. Looking forward to many more in the years to come.

Beautiful and peaceful! The groom and his groomsman stayed here for a wedding at Oak Hill Gardens and it was perfect for them. Veronica is very responsive and friendly as well!

Super cute cabin. Very cozy with great decor. Loved the coffee station and the back porch by the river. Susan was extremely helpful. We had fun feeding the animals and she even gifted us a dozen eggs. We enjoyed this place so much that we booked it again to stay overnight for our trip home.

My sister, niece and I stayed at the cabin. It was cozy and comfortable. I would stay again if I was in the area. It is convenient to stores and restaurants.

The house is beautiful with spectacular view. Right up from the boat ramp and within a small drive into town. House was clean and had all the accommodations needed.

My family had a wonderful visit. Beautiful view, flat property for our dog and son to play. Loved both porches, great for a relaxing slow start to the mornings. We would absolutely stay at this place again.

We loved staying at the eagles nest! Such a beautiful view of the lake drinking my coffee every morning ! Quiet at night and great neighbors! Josh responded always immediately!
