The Banana House is great for families (with kids) or a small group of friends. Couples or solotravellers are also very welcome and will enjoy the space and comfort.

Take a break at this unique and scenic cottage. Settled amidst beautifully preserved eucalyptus trees, you will find an inviting cottage overlooking lake Burera. The cottage is composed of a large double bedroom, a lounge (that can be used as a second room), an en suite, an outside shower and a separate lounge/bar gazebo with a fully functioning kitchen. Ruhondo Campsite View

My campsite is nestled on the shores of Lake Ruhondo. Here, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake and its islands, and of the majestic Muhavura volcano, all in a very peaceful atmosphere. Numerous walks around and on the lake. Various on-demand services: cooking, guide, shopping, laundry, water (which must be collected from the spring if needed). The campsite is 30 minutes by motorbike from the Musanze bus station, and there are many connections via the lake!

Eric's Countryside Haven

This new (2023) home is purpose-built for giving adventurers a safe haven. It's in a village just seven miles from Volcanoes National Park which features 60 mi² of rainforest, rare mountain gorillas, and five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains. It's also three miles from Musanze City and ten miles from Kisoro, Uganda so while it offers a slice of village life and easy access to the Park, the cities are a short cab ride away.

Kara Pond.

This place is called Kara Pond. It is situated near the Mukungwa River, on the road from Kigali to Musanze, about four kilometers from the city center. Kara Pond is a very quiet place surrounded by lots of nature, with numerous birds, a fish pond and beautiful plants. It looks like a small forest area – a unique oasis in the immediate vicinity of the Mukungwa River.
