Family-friendly holiday rentals in Buffalo National River

We loved it. We came to the area for hiking and canoeing, and while we didn't get to do a LOT of that because of the weather and rain, we still had a fantastic time because we were able to get away, play games, and just relax. We were really impressed with the cabin. The big front porch was great for watching the rain and drinking coffee. The hot tub was great for relaxation. He had everything we needed, and was super friendly and helpful - thank you Davis! The driveway to get to the house may not be for every person or vehicle, but we did not mind. It was totally doable with 4x4, and Davis has spent a lot of time, money, and effort improving it (and is still working on it even over the weekend we were there) - raging flood waters don't take it easy on anyone. Thanks again Davis, for a fantastic place to get away from everything!

Doug’s place was a welcome retreat for our extended family for Thanksgiving 2024. We had seven adults and 6 kids - all had an amazing time. Here are some things we really liked about Doug’s place: 1. The kitchen was spacious and squeaky clean. There were loads of appliances and helpful kitchen tools to use. Our family was able to prepare our entire Thanksgiving meal in the bright, spacious, and well-equipped space. 2. The huge dining room table easily fit our large party. We loved the dark wood and the contemporary benches to complement our holiday feast. There was also additional seating at the kitchen bar. Lots of room to entertain. 3. The kids, aged 8-16, loved playing in the basement game room. Pool, foosball, basketball, and a large device-compatible screen. The television also has many streaming services. Lots of seating and sports for lounging. The six kids loved it. 4. The hot tub was a nice touch on the cool days and nights. The tub could hold 8 adults easily. Fun times!

This was my second stay at Ropers campground and again I left feeling peaceful and recharged. I played down at the creek all day searching for rocks and exploring the swimming holes. I fell asleep on the bed on the porch to the sounds the waterfalls and critters in the creek! This place is so magical, clean and most importantly…. Secluded . Wade was very friendly, knowledgeable of the area, helpful and quick to respond to any and all questions. I will be back!

Fantastic Getaway!! Close to many trailheads and natural water activities!! The pool was a bonus to relax in after adventuring. David was rapidly responsive to all concern. Thank you for sharing with my family and friends!!

We only get one vacation a year due to a busy schedule. This was the place we chose and we are extremely glad we did! The cabin was very clean and organized. They provided everything in the kitchen you might need as well as linens and bathroom products. A brand new bbq was a huge plus! The jacuzzi was perfect and super clean and not to chemically. It has a private road and tons of privacy. We'll made fire pit that had plenty of fire wood provided, that was a plus. The owner kept in contact and was very quick to respond to any concerns we had, which was NONE! It was absolutely perfect in every way! The Buffalo river is only a few minutes away and perfect for the family. The cabin was far enough from any main road that it's silent and you don't hear any traffic. Over all, this is an absolute MUST for an awesome getaway for private or family getaway. I highly recommend staying here. If we had a choice, we never would have left. 10 out of 10!!!!!

This is our third time staying here. We love it! She provides you with everything you need. The kitchen is really well stocked with spices etc. Everything just like home. Very clean and she also has games for adults and children. The outside is really nice, with a grill etc. Just perfect stay!

Heather Hill was a great and quiet place to wrap up our paddling trip on the Buffalo River! Clint’s place is just a couple of minutes from the Pruitt River access. We really enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and taking in the tranquility after a great float!

Exactly what we needed! What an amazing, awesome, and serene place! Will definitely be back!

Another amazing stay! This cabin continues to be one of our favorite getaways. It’s beautifully maintained, cozy, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We had a wonderful time and made some unforgettable family memories here. The peace, the views, and the comfort of the space are unmatched. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Had a great stay. Did not have any cell phone service which was a plus for me because we had more quality family time. The board games and pool table was fun!

We stayed at Hannah's house. We had a great time here with our group. This place is wonderful! Very clean and comfortable. The surroundings are so peaceful. It was furbaby friendly, which is a plus for us. It was centrally located to many areas within a hour drive. My husband and I plan on returning soon. I would highly recommend staying here!!!

Great location for Buffalo River access and plenty of comfortable beds for a big family! Will definitely book again. Only downside is not enough seating in the living room. The living room only had 3 seats ( one chair and a loveseat).

Great location! Very secluded and only a mile away from the river outfitter and very close drive to launch points. The AC wasn't working so Cynthia gave us a generous discount off our 2 night stay since there wasn't an available repair company that could arrive before we checked out. Weather was slightly cool enough to open the windows to stay comfortable so we are appreciative of the discount!

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home had everything we needed for cooking and then some, a grill on the spacious porch with plenty of patio seating, a fire pit, charcoal and lighter fluid were provided, games of all kinds, super comfy beds, easy check in, great local recommendations, close enough to the grocery store and other eateries for convenience but secluded enough for relaxation also. Beautiful Bull Shoals lake was right out the back and the White River was also VERY nearby. The kids enjoyed fishing right out back and made use of the floats and life jackets that were on hand. Very calm & peaceful setting. Heather is a very gracious and hospitable host and always responded within a few minutes! We didn't have any problems, everything was clean and tidy. One of our favorite places we've stayed! If we are ever in the area we will definitely book again and highly recommend this place!

We love this place. The host was very sweet that made us brownies to welcome us. The place was very clean and comfortable. It is a home away from home for everyone.

I stay here quite often for work trips and am always equally satisfied with the home and scenery. It has everything I need to cook meals, connect with nature, and relax when I’m finished with my job for the day.

We had a wonderful stay. This property is beautiful and has a beautiful pond. We lived the stay, bed was super comfy, kitchen had all we needed. Host was very responsive. We loved it and would stay again.

We have been visiting Beverly's home for years now and it continues to impress. Incremental improvements are made each in response to our (and other guest) feedback and requests. The home is spotless, well decorated, and had plenty of supplies for everyone staying with us. Beverly has always been incredibly responsive and addressed and minor issues right away. We'll be back for sure!

Great place t o stay and unwind. Quiet in the afternoons. There is river access from the property , Its a decent walk but definitely worth it. Its beautiful.

Great place for fishing. Secluded. Nice furnishings. Dan was big help with fishing information.
