Situated on 5 grazing acres in a quiet culdesac nestled at the foot of the nearby D’Aguilar Mountain Range. If you like horses then you will enjoy your stay with us. Our horses are our inspiration and we invite you to come and enjoy watching the herd at rest and at play. Their stage is a rural setting so you may see wildlife visiting us at Brumbies Hollow too.

Share in the beauty of Feathertail Nature Refuge, a unique property of high ecological value; 22 acres of protected land only 25kms west of Brisbane, backing onto the southern end of D'Aguilar Range NP. This place is for easy-going nature lovers who appreciate the simple things, can live without screen time, & yearn to remember their human 'beingness' amongst the trees.

This is the private, self-contained guest suite of a large family home. Our property has a shared secure entrance from the street and the guest suite has its own entrance door, deck, travertine stone shower, separate toilet, kitchenette with mini-bar fridge and a small built-in robe. Queen-size bed, wall-mounted smart TV, reverse cycle air-con and a small BBQ on the deck. Laundry facilities available if you need. Minimum 2-night stay and 12% discount for 7 nights or more. Wake up in the morning to just the sounds of the birds in your retreat set in 10 acres of rural paradise. From your private terrace, set amidst the beautiful gardens, you can wander freely through the grounds. Our property is home to a great many native species, including wallabies and over 100 species of birds. We have no domestic pets. Head into Samford village for a coffee at one of the many iconic coffee shops, or take a stroll through the nearby rainforests of Mt Glorious and Mt Nebo.

Kamala Cottage

Kamala Cottage is a cosy 110 year old Queensland Railway workers cottage, that was relocated from Minden in 2023. It has been lovingly renovated by the owners, and furnished with antique and vintage furniture and wares. Original features include the beautiful silky oak casement windows, and hardwood flooring, with modern cooking and bathroom facilities added for your comfort. The cottage is sited in its own private bush garden, including fire pit, situated away from the main residence.
