We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Cinq Ruffe. Caroline and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was lovely and met all our needs. The location was very rural and quiet; exactly what we had hoped for. The welcome included a lovely platter of local produce and delicious wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.

Very nice quiet house with two large bedrooms. There were a few basic products missing in the kitchen (oil, salt, sugar, etc.). Note that this accommodation is located in an agricultural environment (market gardener), with the possibility of tractors being present.

We had a super nice stay with Daniel and Claire, beautiful gite with welcome swimming pool, beautiful surroundings for walking and cycling, but especially the peace and waking up with only the sound of the birds was super enjoyable for us, our dog Ziggy also enjoyed and felt very welcome. In short, highly recommended!

Aubeterre is a beautiful village perched on a hill, waiting to be discovered! The cottage was very nice, well equipped, with a beautiful view from the terrace. Beautiful decoration. Thank you

What a wonderful spot to get away! Truly beautiful views and if you like to hear the birds, this a must stay. Very quiet for sleeping. Lots of space for us to spread out in the large kitchen area and the outside covered patio. Conveniently located near Perigueux, 15 minutes to most services. Please note: There are steep stairs to the upper level and you walk through one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom to get to the third bedroom. Second bathroom on upper floor. Worked just fine for our family. Lots of lovely paths for walking. Laura and her family are lovely. Definitely recommend.

We were 7 adults and animals. First of all, I thank Agnès for accepting several animals, it's very rare. Everyone was delighted with this house, clean, well heated (December), the rooms were large, simple and relaxing decoration. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a small stock of pasta and coffee to help out if you have to stay several days and have to go shopping. Spacious living room. Only small downside: the toilet in the hallway does not lock and the toilet seat was moving, it was not very practical. If I had the opportunity to return to the area I would gladly rent this house again.

Fabulous gite in a gorgeous setting.

We spent three days and two nights in Anne-Marie and Paul's beautiful studio, and we intend to return as soon as possible. A real little cocoon, very well equipped and ideally located in a quiet and idyllic environment. And what a view from the deck! We enjoyed beautiful walks around the village, and our dog Marcus was over the moon. What can I say about the warm welcome and kindness of Anne-Marie and Paul? We simply felt like family. Anne-Marie even took the time to go for a walk with us, accompanied by her adorable dog Jojo, to show us the surroundings. Special mention for the little touches that make all the difference: fresh eggs from the house hens, cold beers and delicious cherries were waiting for us on arrival. In short, go with your eyes closed: it's really not an Airbnb like any other.

If you are looking for a quiet but spacious property with sense of freedom this property is perfect. Its large living space offers separation even if travelling in larger groups. It is very secluded so own transport is a must. That said, a short drive into Sarlat is a must. A huge selection of restaurants, bars and local markets and the most picturesque town I think I have ever seen.

Sophie and Craig were the perfect hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcoming (and much appreciated) basket of goodies waiting for us on our arrival and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The gite was just as described and the perfect place to unwind. Lovely views throughout the meadow and surrounding area, the natural pool was a delight. The chickens provided fresh eggs for breakfast and the dogs, Roo and Ted are adorable. Serge’s place is amazing. We spent a lovely 10 days there in May and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s walking distance into the village which has everything you need, and the place itself is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful setting with its own lake. Serge was so responsive and kind to us during the stay too - he went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!

Everything is there for a great stay! Beyond the availability and kindness of Carole and Gérald, the Hutel is a place I recommend without restriction. The caravans are certainly small but very functional, pleasantly furnished and very comfortable (and air-conditioned!). For disconnecting or visiting the region, the advantages of the site are very appreciable: jacuzzi, swimming pool, table tennis and petanque, not to mention the outdoor lounge and table to enjoy nature and the birdsong. Can't wait to come back.

It’s difficult to describe how special this place is! Situated on a beautiful property, the apartment is accessed through a gate into a courtyard and feels very private. (The place does share the courtyard with two other rental units, which were empty when we were there but it might have felt less private had they been occupied.) A converted barn, the apartment is cozy and unique with beautiful, thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and cooking in the well-appointed kitchen was a pleasure. Hosts are wonderful - warm and welcoming, and available and helpful without being intrusive. They even offered to bake us a savory pie on arrival and happily donated some butter to make our daughter’s birthday cake as the nearby shops were closed. We would love to come back one day and be able to swim and spend more time outdoors - as it was, our daughter loved exploring the yard and woods, filled with delightful surprises. A gem!

Very nice accommodation in a wonderful quiet large park. The roses smell great and the terrace offers plenty of space to relax. You can hear the birds in the evening as well as the frogs at the pond... it was a great three days, a perfect end to the city.

This house is an absolute gem. Perfectly located for exploring Castelnaud Chateau and other local sights. The garden view is lovely and is great fun when the balloons float past! A beautiful, characterful cottage in the heart of this historic village.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

Lovely stay at Le Petit Grenier! A lovely little gite with everything you need and a super arrivals food pack to get you going! Great to be given pool towels too. The gite is in a wonderful location and the grounds are beautiful. The pool area is super and so nice to relax next too after a hot day out cycling /canoeing / exploring. Joanne and Martin are great hosts and invited us and other guests to a welcome evening with a charcuterie/cheese board, with many suggestions for places to visit and helpful advice. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again another year.
