This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was something special. It has that rare, magical feeling where everything just feels right. They also gave us amazing local recommendations, especially for restaurants—we had some of our best meals thanks to their tips! We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed more than one night. The view from the patio areas is beautiful and the house is charming. The house itself isn't fancy but it's a great price and great location. We would have loved to utilize the pool more but it was not very sunny the day we were there.

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!

Fantastic stay in Pedro's home from home, Pedro was very friendly and helpful, and the property was just what we wanted for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and a great location for us to explore the wonderful north of Portugal. Stayed for about 10 days, and enjoyed every minute. Thank you very much to Pedro and his family.

Excellent stay in Portuguese village with lovely neighbors. Very old Portuguese house but with that traditional and homey cariz. Their lovely hosts, waited for us until our late arrival with rich desserts, bread, homemade oil ( very rich), fruit, sausages.....all with a nice bouquet of flowers. Very clean and cared for beds. Upstairs full bathroom and downstairs small toilet. Very well stocked kitchen with numerous utensils. Free WiFi. In short, small but very cozy casita, close to numerous tourist attractions. Absolute silence for a unique rest. Beware of access roads, narrow and curved.

Beautiful house in a sleepy village, perfect for chilling and as a base for exploring the region.

We went for a few days a group of 6 adults and 6 children/babies. The host made it very easy for us to check in and check out, in addition to being available for any questions. The house is very large, with spacious spaces for children. We matched bad weather so we couldn't enjoy much of the outdoor area, but we were able to do a barbecue since it's covered, plus the house was very warm and cozy. Very good overall cleanliness and comfortable beds. The kitchenware is a bit dated, but it's enough. Both the host and the people in the village of Soeima are super nice and helpful. Repeat experience!

We liked it a lot. The photos match reality. Alexandra responded promptly to all requests. A beautiful, quiet countryside area, close to a river beach. Oliveira's house is impeccable, it reflects good taste, cleanliness, the bed is well made. We'll be back for sure.

This place was perfect for what we needed. So much so that we added an extra night. The direct view from the terrace is worth the trip (Douro Valley). In addition, José gave us a nice wine tasting suggestion (5 minutes from the accommodation) where the advice and wines were perfect. We would recommend this listing without hesitation

The house is renovated and very comfortable, we would like to have noticed by the description that the outside area is far from the house.

We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

Incredible house and host! Loved the area!

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

Beautiful peaceful location in a traditional village with outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. Fábio was always on hand to help and organised a wine tour and lunch in a local restaurant for us which was absolutely fabulous - we never felt rushed and it was extremely interesting. Fábio has worked hard to make this a place with a personal touch. Have no hesitation in recommending this place and would love to come back again.
