Sangomore Headland, Durness. North coast 500

KrisRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
After lots of research and consideration, we don’t think we could have found anything better. The location is fantastic — right next to an award-winning beach on the northwest corner of the NC500, where the scenery, in our opinion, is the most spectacular. Without even using the car, there was so much to explore: different beaches, cliffs, caves, and wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a group of dolphins! The house was very clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The size was perfect, and the kitchen was well equipped. Communication with the hosts was excellent, with lots of helpful information provided both before and after our arrival. Evenings by the fire and the views from the living room made for a perfect end to each day. There was plenty of space around the house for the kids to play and for parking cars. A local bar is just two minutes' walk away. The only problem our seven nights stay went too quick. Two families from Poland 8 people in total. Thanks

Enjoy Tranquility in Luxury Cottage w/ River Views

ArronRating, 5 stars6 months ago
A lovely contemporary cottage in a very peacful location. Having private access to a bank of the River Naver was a real privilege. Inside was immaculate, I wanted for for nothing. If I found myself travelling again to this part of the far north, I would happily stay at Rowan House again.

Uninterrupted sea views on NC500

Can’t describe how beautiful the location is . The house is so beautiful and the view is breathtaking . We were welcomed by golden rays of sun and a rainbow . Sarah is the loveliest and warmest person I have ever met . She personally helped us know everything about the house. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kids room was so much fun with colourful lights , they had so much fun. Due to lack of time we couldn’t enjoy the hot tub and many more things like walking down the shore or the area. We just laid down and soaked in as much as we could. Overall this stay was amazing and definitely made our NC500 memorable.

Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

Croft View

Spent 2nights at Marilyn's chalet, and have to say, we were so glad we chose here to stay. The accommodation was everything we needed and more! Marilyn was on hand to give advice on the surrounding area and was the perfect host. The location was 2 minutes away from the most amazing beach, we hope to be able to visit again in the near future and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Wee Hoose Glamping family pod

SerenaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We last minute booked due to the weather change. Kevin got back to us literally 5 minutes later with all the details. Had a wonderful stay, they had all the stuff you would need if you was cycling through so you didnt need to pop to the shops apart from some dinner ideas. However he does have a honesty shop with plenty of supplys. This also goes to charity. The breakfast was top notch and freshly laid eggs were amazing. Bigger bonus was this gets topped up every morning !! The site had an awesome fire pit area and also another undercover fire pit area to bbq outside if desired. There are plenty of areas to walk and dogs are welcome. Kevin was very welcoming and loved chatting to him. He had amazing storys of the local area and very knowledgeable. He has a very cute border collie too :) If we ever come up to the highlands again were definitely be staying here. Would highly recommend staying here and by far the best pods weve ever stayed in.
