John’s place was fantastic for a quick staycation. Peaceful setting, clean and cozy, and the hot tub was a dream at night. Waking up to deer while sipping coffee on the deck was very memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

Patricia's cabin is beyond comfy and cozy! It is a great location close to town, easy to get to but also super private and beautiful surroundings. The cabin was so cute and you can tell Patricia put a lot of thought and detail into all the furniture, decor and amenities. Patricia was communicative and responsive, super helpful and friendly. We had an amazing time, it was so comfortable with everything we needed. We wholeheartedly recommend this cabin and would definitely come back again!

We had a lovely little family trip to Julian in this cabin and enjoyed our stay. The place was cute, cozy, and super well-organized - everything was clearly labeled, which made settling in easy. Great amenities too: plenty of cooking and cleaning supplies, plus the cabin included fun puzzles and coloring activities for kids. It was peaceful and quiet with a nice outdoor space, and just a quick drive to all the main spots in town. Cassandra was a great host - very communicative and quick to respond. Only tip: pack some extra warm clothes depending on what time of year you stay! It got pretty chilly, even with the heaters on in April.

Loves our stay at Pinky's! The trails on the grounds were beautiful and it was such a relaxing stay! The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs, the dogs loved being able to run around in the gated yard! The on site host had wonderful recommendations on things to do in the area and was very nice and responsive! We look forward to being able to visit again!

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.

We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying here during memorable day weekend. There was something for all of us to do. We fished at lake every day, a big plus for my husband as it was just a few short minutes away from the front door, to the quality time we had inside the house playing pool, to the top tier coffee machine that allowed me cozy mornings on the patio listening to the birds with my husband, to the smores we made outside at the fire pit while gazing at the stars. The house is so beautiful and inviting, curated with such an eye for detail and warmth. We truly cannot thank you enough for sharing your home with us and we cannot wait to visit again soon one day.

Had a beautiful (exactly as described and pictured) stay at the Cowboy Cabin! Christina was such a communicative, friendly, and gracious host. The house itself was stocked with everything one could need and the house itself was rustic, cowboy chic in every way without it being too much or overbearing. It's so cozy and the home itself and the surroundings were picturesque. It feels like the retreat/hideaway of your wildest dreams, yet within a short drive to neighboring towns. I will definitely be back and am so happy that we were able to experience such a lovely weekend at this unique and rare gem.

If you are looking for an authentic Borrego experience and personal space (I was the only person on a 14 acre ranch) this is the place for you... Just the stars and the sand, plants and animals...pure desert...

A lovely experience. Well-located near Julian, Cuyamaca, Anza-Borrego. Beautiful architecture up on a hill above the 79. Easily the best-stocked Airbnb we have ever rented: pots, pans, dishware, spices, soaps, firewood, lots of towels, etc. Detailed directions. Everything worked! Would return for sure. One thing to know: the upstairs bedroom with the many beds is an open loft, so you hear everything from downstairs, and noise passes easily between the two downstairs bedrooms. Lovely spaces, but limited privacy.

My friends and I spent the weekend in Julian here, and it was perfect! We loved the game room and the home had a lot of character.

This is a place you can’t skip out on. We were speechless from the very beginning of the view and how great the trip was going to be. There are plenty of things to do if you bring pets. We recommend the fire road near Doane pond which is a quick 5-10 min drive from the cabin. Some areas are restricted from bringing pets as to not disturb wildlife. The place overall was perfect and we felt right at home. It was so quiet and peaceful I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back.

We stayed in Ephraim’s adorable A-frame cabin for one night while headed to San Diego to visit a friend. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful on a long, winding road. When we left the next day, we were above the cloud line. The cabin itself is wonderful. We couldn’t help but walk around and appreciate all of the little design choices inside! The bedrooms are cozy and nest-like. The kitchen is spacious and open. The lot is pretty private. There are some other cabins close by, but you don’t notice them once you’re inside.

We enjoyed four nights @ Stoneapple Cottage & so enjoyed this unique & spacious house; we especially enjoyed the old fashioned kitchen with all the pots/pans/cutlery & crystal stemware. The beds were extremely comfortable & the air conditioning did help upstairs as it can get warm. We sat on the lovely patio & had several nice Happy Hours. The Alpacas on the neighboring lot were fun to watch. The location is ideal for easy access to Julian & for birding @ Lake Cuyamaca. Mary left complete instructions on everything. She displayed her artwork & photography in the house & also had her beautiful cards for sale. It was a most wonderful four day trip; the solitude at night was amazing & we certainly benefitted from the surroundings. Thanks again Mary for your prompt responses to my texts! Gwen, Dave & Beth

If you are looking to escape citylife and unplug from modern society, Julie's cabin is the right place for you. It is so peaceful there surrounded by tree and so many birds to watch and listen to.

We had a great memorial weekend get away in this place . The house was comfortable, clean, well organized and has provisions of basic amenities. Our favorite is the magnificent view and just the cozy and chill vibe of the place overall. We had an amazing time .

Nice little cabin just outside of downtown Julian. It can be a bit confusing to find the first time but once you're there it's a breeze getting in and situated. You can easily walk downtown in about 5-7 minutes but you feel like you're a million miles away so it was very quiet and serene. Beds were super comfy and the place had a homey feel, however it was quite dusty in the living area and the ceiling fans in that area didn't work and we were there on a warm day. They did say those would be fixed ASAP however. Overall a great stay and we would stay here again. Note that there is no TV or WIFI on site so bring your own equipment if you need that sort of thing.

This cozy cabin is absolutely a great value! The surroundings are beautiful, and the cabin itself is clean and well-kept. Spending the holidays here, gathered around the fire pit and chatting with friends, has truly become one of my most cherished memories. That said, the road leading to the farm can be a bit rough. A high-clearance SUV is recommended—we drove a sedan and ended up scraping the underside of the car a few times. Despite that, the overall experience was wonderful. We hiked a nearby trail all the way to the top of a mountain, where we could see both San Diego and Mexico. Although the fog was heavy and we couldn’t see the ocean, the view was still impressive. All in all, I highly recommend this cabin. It’s definitely one of the best places to escape for a relaxing holiday!

Tammy was very nice to communicate with and her place was clean, peaceful and a short distance from Main Street. Would definitely stay here again.

Words cannot describe the serenity that comes from sitting on the back porch. It is so incredibly beautiful. This place is amazing. The birds, the wild turkeys, the deer… just amazing. The house was quaint and cozy and well appointed. Would absolutely come back!

We truly enjoyed staying at the Littlehale House! We stayed two nights with our four kids for New Year’s Eve. The house has a beautiful view just like the listing shows. My children ages 13,11,10 and 8 enjoyed the outside swing so much! That was there favorite part of our stay! Overall, our stay was pleasant and relaxing!

What a beautiful cabin and stay in Julian. The home has everything you need with clear information and local recommendations. We had a warmer weekend and although no central air, the open windows and plenty of fans cooled everything down, especially at night. My in laws loved the home and used the TV, we didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to have everyone one would need! We did have coffee every morning and enjoyed the view. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Julian.

Really enjoyed my time here. Great for a peaceful mountain getaway to reconnect with nature. Beautiful rustic interior with lots of windows and screen doors to enjoy the sounds of the outdoors. Close to a number of good local hikes and a short drive away from Julian. Host was responsive and hospitable.
