This bunkie, sided in Vermont Maple, was built in 2018. Tastefully decorated in barn board and v-joint pine inside, it features 7 cu. ft. fridge, air circulator, kitchen cart with hot/cold water dispenser, microwave, coffee maker, etc. It has a wardrobe, loveseat, end table and dining table for two. The queen bed is up the ladder in the loft. Great view onto Lake Mazinaw. Use of dock, deck, stand up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks, canoe, Aqua Cycle and pedal boats. 30 min. walk to Bon Echo .
“Good value, near park and right on the water. Cabins are close to each other so not the best spot if you are looking for privacy. Bunkies do not have exclusive use of the docks as the cottages do...but watercraft are available to everyone. Host was very accommodating and kept us informed whenever a dock would be free when the other cottages had no guests checked in. Bunkie is actually so cozy, well built and was a great unique stay. All you need to bring in addition to sheets/towels is bug spray and food, everything else is there.”
I have a 96 acre hobby farm. Depending on the time of year guests can buy garden produce and eggs. The campsite is set in the woods, a beautiful spot just a 5 minute walk to the lake. You can enjoy swimming off the raft or canoeing. The shore is not suitable for a beach so canoeing to the raft is a perfect way to cool off. There is a fire pit ( firewood is available to buy here) , new outhouse and a picnic table at the camp. Unlimited use of canoe on my lake is included in the price.
“I booked Sue's campground for the past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself. From the hiking in the woods, canoeing on the lake and stargazing at night, the experience was serene and relaxing. A perfect break from the stresses of life. Sue was so kind to offer me the use of her new and as yet unfinished lake front cabin. I certainly appreciated it when the skies opened up that night with heavy and continuous rain but I was snug and warm inside. The new cabin features a loft that could easily sleep 4+, deck with views of the lake, boardwalk to the dock, woodstove, and bbq. I still see a fair amount of work that needs to be done with the kitchen, bathroom, flooring, solar power and misc. finishing details but the cabin should soon be available on Airbnb. The other cabin and campsite are as other guests have described. Clean and neat, private and welcoming. No need to fear the outhouse either, these are the nicest I've ever seen. Thanks Sue for your hospitality. You have a wonderful retreat. I'll be back.”
The rooms are upstairs in a cute little bakery coffee house in the countryside in plevna, Ontario. The space which is upstairs is sunny and bright and really really quiet and peaceful. Guests will be welcome to request breakfast or dinner or a picnic lunch if they decide to go for a hike or a bike ride as there are many parks and hundreds of beautiful lakes in the area... This area in north frontenac a best kept secret
“Nuala's place was a wonderful place to stay. She was an amazing host. Had lots of great chats with her, and the locals who would pop in because her bakery is so gooooood! She is a great baker and everything from the cookies to the scones to the Jams were amazing. So delicious. Bought various things to bring back home. The room was good too and everything was as advertised. The bed was very comfortable. Had a great sleep on it each night. Nuala also gave us lots of great tips about the area and surrounding towns. I've stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and this was a great experience with wonderful service. Also, checked out the near by dark sky preserve and Bon Echo Park. Highly recommend.”
