Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

My mom's place

Heima is a very peaceful apartment located in Ísafjörður. It is located on a quiet street near the mountain. The house is located about 1 km from the main square. Heima is a house owned by a family that built it in 1962. Johann Kroknes, a carpenter from Norway came to Ísafjörður to build this house for his daughter Sigríður that was moving to Ísafjörður after marrying a local shrimp captain, Torfi. We are restoring it to the style that was in the sixties and welcome you to enjoy it with us!

A small and modest apartment centrally located in Ísafjörður. Equipped with all the essentials for cooking and a relaxed stay. Close to all services. NOTE- The second bedroom was a storage space and is without a window. Has a door and a heating unit like other rooms. . • Fully equipped kitchen • Washing machine and dryer • Wi-Fi, TV, Apple TV • Free parking right outside and extra nearby Bedrooms: The bed in the main bedroom is 180x200 cm. The bed in the smaller bedroom is 90x200 cm.

Valley cottage - house

Quite remote house (107 sq.m.), with only a farmer and a gardener as neighbours. Almost nobody around, just birds signing. House is well maintained and nicely equipped. There's a good access to the road, 10m. drive to the shop, a bus communication. It has a spacy driveway. It's in a distance of a rental electric scooters and for all active guests -house has two bikes available to take trips. High quality bed linen is always ironed and fresh upon arrival, washed in a local laundry store.

The house is small, welcoming and cozy with sun deck and a grate view. It nests in a spacious garden near the sea and the harbor of the small fishing village of Bolungarvík witch is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The house is on 2 floors, on the ground floor there is a open kitchen, living room with a sofa and a bathroom with a shower. The second floor is a sleeping loft with 1 double bed, a travel crib is available op on request.
