Family-friendly holiday rentals in Blanco County

Good location in proximity to Dripping Springs. We went to the farmer's market on Wed. and it was easy to hop over and back to the casita. We stayed in the middle of the week and happened to get the pool and hot tub almost entirely to ourselves. The owner and staff really put a lot of work into the flowers and plants around the pool since the photos were taken and it really showed. We loved our stay and we have already talked about coming back with some family/friends.

Renee’s place was exactly as pictured. The house was very clean and enough space for 10 of us. The pool was amazing!

Wonderful area! The Casitas are extremely well thought out. We went for a getaway and got more than we expected! It had a cute, little hiking trail which our dog loved. Beautiful views. Our Casita was spacious and well kept. The pool and hot tub was a nice added touch. Will definitely plan on going back.

We had such a wonderful stay! It was relaxing and the home was so cute and comfortable. Cynthia also dropped by with the most delicious cookies! :) We will definitely be staying here again when our travels take us back to Wimberly.

Beautiful property. Very private. Very quiet. The only thing missing was wildlife. We were there 3 nights and never saw so much as a squirrel. Very disappointed in that since 2 of the 4 of our group are photographers and we expected some great nature shots. The home was beautiful, clean and well appointed. Just wish we had seen something to photograph besides lovely scenery. Also, it is almost a mile from the main road to the house down a private drive which crosses a couple of low creeks. We were in a low slung Cadillac and the bottom of the car drug in several places.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. The place is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a peaceful family getaway. We really enjoyed the open nature setting and the quiet atmosphere. Just a friendly note for future guests: because the home is surrounded by nature, it’s a good idea to stay aware of possible scorpions inside the house. We understand this comes with the environment and appreciate the experience overall.

This place was exactly as advised and Cynthia was a wonderful host. We had a wonderful time at the house and at the river and Cynthia brought us some cookies on a last day by the river. What a wonderful home and property to share with visitors. Thank you!

John and Suzanne, Thank you so much for the lovely stay at your 2 bedroom cabin. It was absolutely perfect for our quiet weekend away. We especially appreciated how close it was to Perdenales Falls State Park and that you allow pets – that was a big bonus for us! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the patio, listening to the birds, and watching the sun go down. Everything was so wonderful that we didn't have to bother you at all. Thanks, Laurie

There are 2 houses on this property. I was staying 2 months, and about 10 days into my stay the hot water heater began leaking in the Plum Cottage. A replacement heater had to be ordered. I was offered the chance to move to the other (bigger) Stone House at no additional cost, either until the repair was made, or for the duration of my stay. I chose to remain at the bigger house for the duration. Not only was it an upgrade, but it kept me from having to move all my stuff yet again. That was a very kind offer !! Although this location is in the country and very peaceful, Wimberley is just a short drive for any needed supplies or to visit shops and restaurants. As I'd drive down the road this property is on, folks would wave when passing. I once encountered a deer in the yard as I was heading out. It moved a little farther away, but was still enjoying being on the property a little later when I returned. Nice to be in nature and able to share the same space. A pleasant stay !!

Great place, great owners! Bathrooms were nice and kitchen was super helpful. Only thing was that the outlet we used was far from our site but it was no problem since we brought our own extension cords. Very close to Perdenales falls, and a beautiful property. Strict quiet hours which we were very thankful for! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about staying here for a bit!

We stayed here for a getaway to stargaze and view the total solar eclipse in April 2024. This cabin is part of Ranch 3232, which has RV spots, yurts, and tent camping. This is helpful to know for others who may be looking for a private or secluded getaway. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, and we found the kitchen was great for cooking breakfast and coffee. The included dishes, silverware, and drinkware is perfect for two. The bathroom was clean, and the shower is adequate. The grill outside was perfect for burgers. There is a small table outside with two chairs, which made it great for a meal outside! Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would return to stay here any time! Thanks, Ken!

The Kick Back cabin was so relaxing! Our family and dogs had a wonderful time. It was so calm and quiet, we spent half our time just on the front porch reading and watching our boys run around outside. The dogs loved the little fenced in area right next to the cabin too! Pedernales Falls state park is so close and beautiful to explore. We will definitely be back!

This is my favorite place to stay when I’m in the hill country. I have been here once for girls trip. Once with family including my dog and the grand kids who sang to me while setting up in the tree playing their ukulele and harmonica! This trip I was here with my son and his wife to attend my nieces wedding. I highly recommend …you will love it.

If you're looking to get away from crowds and have space to yourself, this is the place! Keep in mind that this location is NOT intended to be a luxury stay...it is rugged and set up similar to a hunting lodge. At the time of our stay, there were 2 sets of bunk beds, so for couples, there is either going to be a crowded bed, or you'll have to sleep separate. This wasn't an issue for us, as we knew what we were getting into to begin with, but something others should keep in mind when booking this location. It is comfortable, and on a ranch with lots of land, so staying here allows for exploration. For us, we'll definitely stay here again. Carl was super nice, and was more than willing to accommodate wherever necessary. We made a new friend by staying here!

This place was amazing, exactly like the pic and the descriptions. If you’re looking for a place to go and peaceful, relaxing out of the noise and city this is the best place to go. Highly recommended.

April and her husband were amazing host, they went above and beyond for us the whole time. They have a beautiful place and well priced. It was an awesome time and I couldn’t have asked for a better place or host for this trip to Dripping Springs. I highly recommend their beautiful place if you are in the area. If I could give more than 5 stars I would have.

Jennifer’s home was absolutely perfect for our family getaway! We were celebrating our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary with 7 adults and 3 kids, and the space exceeded all expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had so much more room than we imagined. We had plenty of space to gather for meals, work on a puzzle, or enjoy a movie night—yet there were still quiet corners to relax and unwind. The pool was a huge hit with everyone, and we were blown away by how much wildlife we saw during our stay. It truly felt like a peaceful escape—so quiet and serene, yet still close to everything. The kitchen was beyond stocked with anything and everything you could need. Jennifer was incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. We also loved the location—just a short drive to H-E-B and the charming downtown Wimberley shops and restaurants. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back for another family getaway. Highly recommend!

My family stayed at Rancho De Vida over Memorial Day weekend and we had an amazing time. We were looking for a ranch that had privacy, plenty of things to do for the whole family and close to the many vineyards in and around Fredericksburg and that’s exactly what we got. The farm house on the ranch is beautiful and the solarium is was a great place for the family to hang out and relax. Mary has done an amazing job decorating every corner of the property. The pool has great views of the ranch and the two longhorns on the property. The new pool was MUCH bigger than it looks in the pictures, we were pleasantly surprised! Overall, not a single bad thing to say about this property, it was exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend it.

Bridle Ridge Ranch was a great place for my family to chill and relax. Everything was provided, from plenty of blankets and towels, to home basics like paper towels and toilet paper. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Spices and cooking basics like cooking oil and aluminum foil were also provided. The master bedroom was enormous, with plenty of room for adults and kids. The other 4 bedrooms were just the right size and setup well for guests. The outdoor area of the house is great. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. The lights on the house are nice at night. We enjoyed feeding the horses every day and also enjoyed the hot tub at night even thought it was cold outside. The house provides thick robes in the closets that help keep you warm. Plenty of chairs on the porch area and the views are amazing. The pool heater system was not working at the time, but we still took a cold dip in there. The pool setup looks nice at night with the lights. Overall, it was awesome experience!
