Villa holiday rentals in Black River

We have just returned to the UK after a 14 day vacation in the villa. We had a fantastic holiday the villa is beautiful inside and out. Perhaps our favourite area was the veranda. Its wraps around the villa and has many different seating areas. We spent most evenings out there. Garry is an amazing host he met us at the villa and showed us around also providing great information about Mauritius eating out beaches etc. He kindly allowed us to check out a little later. We ate out at Le Meridian and Revive several times they are local and within walking distance. Friendly staff and excellent food. La Voglia Matto Pizza eat in or takeaway is worth a visit. We spent 14 days in the house for two and enjoyed the stay very much. We liked the house itself, the huge great garden, the large pool, the location with a view of the sunset every evening, especially the warm contact with Andy and his family. They always responded immediately when we had questions, and everything was answered promptly and solutions were found. It should also be mentioned that the house is equipped with a mosquito net and can be ventilated at any time. The rental car will find a parking space directly in front of the house. There are both Euro plugs available except for the usual UK sockets, so adapters are not necessarily needed, but Andy would have had them for us. Besley, who takes care of the house, pool and garden, and lives next door, was also always helpful. So for us everything was great and we can highly recommend the house and thank everyone involved for the beautiful time in Mauritius.Andrea and Rudolf

Very beautiful holiday home with peace and quiet . The person who comes to clean every morning is very nice! A little hard to get used to setting and removing the alarm but at least you feel safe

We stayed, with my parents (four adults and two small children) Upon arrival (flexible schedule) small touches awaited us (appreciable), we discovered a house as described (secure, spacious, clean, with all the necessities for daily life...) on a quiet little street, just 5 minutes from the beach on foot . Pleasant pool and possibility to bring a car into the yard (even two) Yoshi and his mom are very nice people, we highly recommend their rental!!

We had a great time at this beautiful place. Everything was as described in the listing and Xavier was a perfectly attentive host. Much more than a roof over our heads, he offered us the experience of the island and the kindness of its inhabitants. We needed someone to babysit our two children for a day and he found us the perfect person for that. We only stayed 4 nights this time but we will happily come back to Xavier's. Thank you for everything.

We had a great time at Azimah and Jeremy's place. Everything was perfect with friendly and very responsive hosts The accommodation, the wonderful garden We'll be happy to go back.

I have to thank Yoshi for hosting us in a wonderful home. The accommodation is really spacious, with well-distributed spaces and equipped with every comfort. We were comfortably accommodated in 8. The real highlight of the house is the location, excellent, overlooking the beautiful beach, always very clean.

Great stay at this really great place! Everything was fine when we arrived, super clean, well-equipped, and the cozy decor immediately put us at ease. It felt like home . The location is super convenient however transportation or car rental will be recommended in order to fully enjoy the area. Thanks again for a warm welcome from Véronique and Rajesh. A big thank you to the neighbor above for her discretion, we felt very comfortable and were never bothered. Thank you Rajesh for this wonderful typical Mauritian breakfast, the hot chilli cake was a delight. In short, we fully recommend it and we'll be happy to come back!

Valène is up there with the best hosts of Airbnb’s. Very responsive, friendly and welcoming. She even arranged for the fridge to be full and an affordable car rent. The place it self is absolutely perfect, especially with small kids. We had a very enjoyable and calm week. Would definitely recommend

A wonderful stay. The villa has spectacular views to the north and the layout for indoor/outdoor relaxation is fantastic. A lovely pool that gets north sun so is warm even in Mauritius 'winters'. Daily cleans from Pooga worked well - I was alone so never availed myself of any of her cooking which I gather is also an option. The place is near 'everything' - the best restaurant in the country is 20 mins away and there are tons of options 5-15 mins away. Groceries are as little as 5 mins away, 12 tops. Nice spa is also only 5 minutes away. Sunsets are glorious every night. Looking forward to another visit!

Beautiful home in nature. Rustic and charming. Don't expect everything to be perfect as it's old and tired in places but that adds to the charm.....

We had a great stay at the villa. It looks exactly like the photos, beautiful villa with a private beach access. The host was super responsive and guided us throughout our stay. The location of the villa is huge positive. Great eateries are closeby. Mon Choisy beach is at a walkable distance. We would definitely love to visit again.

We had a fabulous family holiday at Bluemoon Villa. The villa has a homely, casual beach vibe and had everything we could need. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful and cooked or prepped for us on a few occasions. The villa is situated right on a lovely beach.

The villa is exceptional in a beautiful and quiet setting. Better than the pictures. The sound of the waves is so present and relaxing. Sunset walks are very beautiful. Ideal villa for recharging. Thank you to Telvina, Madou and Anoushka for their hospitality.

We were blown away by the beauty of the villa when we arrived. It is the perfect balance of luxury & home, without feeling like you have invaded someone else's space. The staff were great at keeping the place tip top, and we enjoyed some gorgeous mauritian cuisine prepared. The garden and pool are a stunning place to enjoy the Mauritian sunshine. Whole heartedly recommended!

hands down the best airbnb experience i have ever had! The Villa is located in a luxury, safe and well managed resort. View from all the rooms in the villa is breathtaking. Over looking the huge pool and a well maintained garden. The amount of privacy, security and comfort you will not find elsewhere, which is very crucial as i was traveling with my family. Nicolas was responsive in communication, Hans (property manager) welcomed us and stayed in touch throughout the stay. No wonder why this villa is a 5/5. My wife and son loved the pool. You get to use all the perks, room service and facilities, pretty much everything you may need in a resort. Nicolas is kind enough to offer a golf cart in the villa at your disposal, which was super helpful in commuting within the huge resort. This is definitely my new favorite spot and a yearly place to visit!

Anthony was a great host! He is very friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 6 adults and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The views were sublime and we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor living area. We used a chef Anthony recommended and the meals did not disappoint. Chef Colette and her husband Patrick prepared all our meals and even did a multi course dining experience for a birthday dinner in which each course was reflective of a different country's cuisine. 10/10 dining experience. The concierge Morgan was also very helpful and a pleasure to work with as well. Would definitely stay here again and use the same team as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had the best stay at this incredible villa in Mauritius! The garden and pool area were absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tropical surroundings in a private setting. The villa was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and Catherine was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I booked this trip as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and Catherine was incredibly kind and decorated the villa and got us a cake, which made our arrival even more special. Everything was exactly as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommended this Villa!

We had a very pleasant stay in this unusual and particularly beautiful house in Albion. The accommodation is modern, clean and quiet – ideal for relaxing. The well-kept garden with pool is a real highlight, as is the stylish bathroom with an outdoor feeling. The hostess Camille always responded immediately and was super helpful. Pamela, who came twice for cleaning, was very likeable and thorough. A jewel - thank you very much for this service. A rental car is highly recommended, as the house is somewhat hidden and difficult to reach without a car. In Mauritius, there are many wild cats, even at the house, a cat mother lives with her young - they spent the night on the couch :-) Small suggestion for improvement: In our opinion, the cutlery could be renewed. Overall a great accommodation – we felt very comfortable!

The villa is modern, very clean and perfectly true to description. Everything is new and functional (WiFi, air conditioning, fridge, washing machine...). It is located about 1h15 by car from the airport. Stef was flexible on the check-in time, and the checkout was done without formalities. The apartment is close to the supermarket and a few restaurants, however as everywhere in Mauritius a car is highly recommended in order to access the beautiful beaches of Le Morne and the South of the island, the hikes of Gorges Noires and Le Morne, in Grand Bassin, or simply to shop or discover new restaurants. Many other activities are possible according to everyone's tastes. A tip because it's hot: get up very early in the morning to enjoy the coolness and for sports activities, take a nap in the middle of the day and enjoy the end of the day to go to the beach or cool off in the pool!

Corinne's place was a dream! Really clean and luxurious, and she communicated very well. We're happy to have stayed here and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Tamarin.

Sophie is a very welcoming, helpful, always available host; she has very good recommendations and very good tips. This stay was even more magical thanks to Sophie; more than just a rental, it feels like home; it was a very nice meeting. If you want a peaceful place and a 15-minute drive to the most beautiful beaches on the island, you will have the perfect place here. Thanks again to Sophie

Lovely house perfect for our group of 8. Close to bus stop and supermarket. Had a slight problem which was dealt with very quickly communication excellent. Lovely stay would recommend. Roof terrace too hot in day but amazing watching sunset and sunrise with mountain back drop fantastic view Great to watch bats too.
